The Council of Fifty Minutes in the Joseph Smith Papers are an interesting read. It gives insight into some of the things they were doing and contemplating at the time, including western expansion, and the council's attempt to write down a constitution for the Kingdom of God.

It doesn't seem to be working so well lately with decisions such as:

1. "Safe and effective Godsend" deadly-jab
2. "Wise and thoughtful" government leaders
3. Literally partnering with the UN
4. Giving millions to UNICEF
5. Giving millions to NAACP
6. Rebuking those who questioned the 2020 election...by issuing statement that we need to stand by our "democratic principles" of government.

They say a camel is a race horse....designed by a committee. My experience with committees reinforces that statement.

Your thoughts????

I give the Church leaders a pass on this because in March of 2020 the information that was coming out was VERY different than March of 2022, and it was heavily one-sided information. You already had governments closing down their countries in Asia and in Europe and Church functions were increasingly being suspended on a local basis, including chapel services and temple services. General Conference a completely virtual affair.

NOT SO FAST...

Concerning COVID, I am talking about the deadly-jab "recommendation" and later "urging". This has literally gotten many members hurt and killed including a member of my ward. Don't forget the close to home tragedy of the BYU center, who didn't want the jab in the first place.

The point is this; Dr. Peter McCullough and many others KNEW back in January 2021 that the jab was killing people at an unacceptable rate. We have since had mountains of data that back this up, including insurance data, DOD data, mortality data, VAERS data, mortuary data, countless personal accounts and sports stars dropping like flies.

It was reckless for the church to take the position that they did back in 2021...now it is just damn criminal and disgusting they have not issued a retraction.

People continue to die and suffer life-long injuries BECAUSE of THEIR "urging"...yet in spite of all the data we have now...crickets.

It is the WORST decision the church has EVER made...and they only sink deeper into culpability with each passing day.

THEY SCREWED UP....BIG TIME...DEAL WITH IT!!!!!!!!!

I am sick of the ridiculous apologists out there doing CYA for Q15.

Councils are fine as long as they are populated with the right people. If you are going to use councils, then you have to zealously protect the integrity of the council. If you get lazy about it, or try and be more inclusive, you will find that your council has been infiltrated and is no longer being used towards the purpose originally intended.

If you want a council of prophets to represent the Will and Mind of God, then you have to be certain that everyone on that council has exhibited the fruits of a prophet. Otherwise you end up with what we see today: A council of men who measure their decisions against their worldly experiences and acceptance of their worldly peers. In the absence of actual prophetic experiences, this is what is presented as revelation.
