Are current conditions a setup for George Albert Smith prophecy?

Post by Original_Intent »

I just remembered that part of that prophecy was that the president would withdraw nukes from northern Europe to appease Russia.

It strikes me that the current buildup and increased tensions would be a perfect setup for a future president to do so.

edit: Here is the relevant part
Thousands of tanks would be transported in huge trucks so they would be in place where they were needed when the war began.

The United States would have missiles in Europe which carried an atomic bomb. However, the United States would be committed to many far-reaching alliances and would withdraw its missiles to satisfy the Soviet Union. Then the war would begin and people would "die like flies". The military power of the Soviet Union at this time would be much greater than the United States.
Obviously, we are not at that last point. However, if we have a financial crisis, no money to support the military and our military could collapse in a very short period of time.

"Are current conditions a setup for George Albert Smith prophecy?"

Probably not.

I think the best response to most of those common "last days" / "end times" questions is: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Russian military seems to be much weaker than the US right now. Unless Russia has significant technology and weapons that they are intentionally not using in Ukraine. I kind of doubt that, but it is a possibility.

Haha, well every time in the past that you and I have thought differently, I've always had to come around to agreeing with you. So, you're probably right.

Don't judge me. I'm technologically challenged. However, I remember reading in another thread on here - maybe something like "The ultimate GAS thread"? that there was an addition to this prophecy. Maybe around 2015 or 2016? They said something about GAS saying that Russia would demand the U.S. give Alaska back to them. Just noted yesterday that some higher up in Russia was saying they wanted reparations for Ukraine by way of demanding Alaska and some other things. I found that to be amazing.

Personal thoughts are that Russia is toying with the world. They have sent in older equipment and conscripts to fight this battle. I believe they are saving their arsenal for us!

I was wondering the same thing. Like a team playing their JV quarterback while the opposing team was scouting them out. I guess we are going to find out.

Good thought. Ray Dalio makes a compelling case that China, not Russia, is the rising power.

Already happened. American nukes were removed from Europe in the late 1980's.
