A huge 7.3-magnitude earthquake has hit Fukushima, Japan - triggering a tsunami warning as tremors were felt as far away as Tokyo.
Terrified witnesses have said buildings were left shaking following what felt like two quakes, with the second lasting for around two minutes.
Parts of the Japanese capital have endured power outages as a result, with reports suggesting two million people have been affected.
It is not yet clear if any people were injured following the quake, which happened shortly after 11.30pm local time, or the scale of damage caused.

"It was the scariest earthquake I’d experienced since I live in Japan. We were hit with 7.5 magnitude earthquake. At first it was just a light shaking then gradually getting stronger! I was using my phone when it happened so I took the chance to take a video after securing our safety. Our living room is clear from falling objects except our study room and kid’s room. Some objects fell down. But we are grateful we’re all safe."
