Supposedly gay marriages/sealings have quietly been performed already by certain G.A.s A certain GA has a gay brother who was in LTR w a Gay man-they were supposedly sealed together quietly by the aforementioned anonymous GA.

Gay marriage. Easily. I would wager that 23.6% of the GAs are closeted homosexuals. Look at the Brad Wilcox. Now I'm not saying this for sure but he has a ton of mannerisms and speech patterns of an effeminate homosexual. Hardly any of the GAs are the type of man who have ever chopped wood, punched another man or even changed the oil on their pickup truck. They are almost all effeminate weaklings. Almost. I'm sure there are a few exceptions but none really come to mind. They will probably be sealed one to another to their "favorite," co-GA.

Whatever they do you can be sure there are 2.5 million out of the 5 million active members who will walk off the cliff with them on whatever they do. The truth claims of the Book of Mormon have to be freed from being tied exclusively to the truth claims of the LDS church.

2. Gay Sealings
3. Female Priesthood Holders -- as if they need it. Men are given the priesthood to bring them up to the level of women.

In my early years conference was a time to skip church and spend time with my other parent.

Then for many years I looked forward to conference.

Lately I have been hoping I could avoid it, wishing I could go back in time 30 years or wishing it wouldnt happen at all. Nervous about what Nelson will change next.

(1) will never happen.
(2) already happening, if one has received the endowment. However, "priesthood" responsibilities are quite different for
women than they are for men.
(3) depending on area perhaps within 3-6mo for areas with low case counts, up to a year for other areas.

When the current crop of octogenarians pass away, the final tendrils of conservativism regarding the gospel will fade away.

It would take a generation or more for someone who walks to the beat of the true Drummer, to gain any kind of foothold among the general leadership at HQ.
The current crop of church leadership is beyond homogenized, and the pipeline from Bishops - Stake Presidents - Area Presidents - Seventies, etc. are all “church-broke” meaning they will not stray from the party-line.

The CoB in Salt Lake has as much detailed power and control over the masses of members, as the Kremlin does over the proletariat.

Where did you hear this?
What is it's provenance?

1) Sell all that they have and give to the poor.
2) Admit to every previous mistake and/or cover-up in the entirety of church history.
3) Call a poor, uneducated but highly righteous personal witness of Christ to serve as an Apostle.

1) Will never happen. Ever!
2) Women who are endowed share the priesthood with their husbands if they are married, only they use it in a different capacity. One day they may have the authority to officiate in ordinances outside the temple.. I welcome that day.
3) As the wise and thoughtful government and health leaders dictate so…

Looking at the other Christian sects, the pattern is clear. First they ordain women. Then they accept gay marriage. Then they become irrelevant.

It won't be until after his administration and that could be another 20 years.

More like they split over the first issue, and then split over the second.

By the way, not all churches which ordain women are very pro-gay marriage.

I doubt they will make any big changes right now.

Everyone is on edge with covid, war etc.... they'll probably just talk about how during these "uncertain" times, the only certainty is within the Church and its mission.

They'll give talks about world war 2 and how the world will go back to normal just like it did then. They'll say that genealogy work is why the world won't go to hell. Temples will continue to be built and Zion is on the up and up. Etc

This all may seem true to most LDS... that is.... until it doesn't

No... Have you really listened to Bednar? He said religions can help coerce members into taking vaccines and he's pushing the one-world religion.

Yes. He said that they should ask themselves why boys/men had to be ordained to the PH to enter the temple, while girls/women do not need it. He pretty much said that men have to have PH to be equal to women in this area. I am getting on the road, but I will see if I can find the video or transcript of that part of his talk this evening.

if anything major is changed soon?

first they will make a somewhat odd change of course that will grab everyone’s attention, yet, one that is not greatly divisive…..

and then soon after, in very accepting areas they will allow gay marriages to be performed in Chapels that will slowly be rolled out to all areas…..?
