Just being honest. My bishops wife is super smoking hot. 25% of the church leaders are effeminate homosexuals and so many of your most anti-gay preachers/politicians/loudmouths end being busted with a same-sex prostitute or relationship.
Where on earth is this place you describe!!?
The bishop’s wife or…?
I have to admit I had a thing for our ward's previous bishops wife. She was an absolute stunner... drop dead gorgeous. Fortunately I'm married to her.

I just love this website . . .good place to see what my fellow saints are really like . . .
the thing that kills me most and has for the last 5 years on this site is that there is so much worry about the prophet leading us astray . . . well, I don't need to remark on that . . .
The point is that this forum shows so much belief in what they have been taught by our society . . . all lies and we just accept them hook, line and sinker . . . then we give them our priority for discussions and get nowhere trying to support them or stomp them . . . cuz they are LIES . . .you cannot give plausible evidence for a lie. . . cuz it's a lie, made up . . .not true
there is no such thing as gender identity . . . all made up
there is no such thing as transgender or LGBTQ or anything that carries these names. . . its all lies made up . . . then repeated many times . . . has nothing to do with the bible or Jesus or anything . . . . cuz it is all lies
and now the gads are going to teach this in our schools . . . it is a lie . . .why doesn't someone do something about it ?
gravity is NOT created by the earths orbit
tree sap does NOT freeze in the winter and cause leaves to change colors
there is NO such thing as evolution
we did NOT go to the moon or we would have repeated it many times . . .
dinosaurs (if they even exist) do NOT create oil and gas . . .
there is NO such thing as virus . . .something that has never been seen or identified in a lab
the federal reserve is NOT federal . . .
and more and more and more . . . . we spend so much time worrying about our prophets . . but don't seem to mind the lies of our scientists and government leaders . . . CNN or NBC or our colleges professors and teachers . . . have you noticed how much many of them lie?
we should be outraged . . . these are the lies that will ruin our world . . . not the blunders from our prophet . . . but don't you just love how he keeps telling us to listen to the HG . . . what a great example with this vaccine he has done
oh yeah . . . he and the 14 obviously listens to lies and believes them . . . just like many on this forum
now that is off my chest . . . carry on smacking on some old ornery men . . . if you want . . . the lies are what will ruin us and our society. . . they ve already caused a division in the church
Here some more truth to go along with what you have said. I'm not going to go along with some moral fantasy that so many LDS people live in. Just cut and dry so here it is. 1)The LDS church WILL allow gays to be sealed in the temple since 25% of the current leadership are effeminate men and probably deeply closeted homosexuals anyhow. 2)All of those people on here who argue about whether gays are born that way, a result of sin, demons from Hell etc. are probably secretly gay themselves. "Me thinks though doest protest to much," comes to mind. 3)You know that really super hot wife of the bishop? 80% of the Elders quorum, Priests quorum, Deacons quorum and 10% of the Relief Society has fantasized or had lustful thoughts about her. That's it. That's the real truth about life. You might disagree but only because you are in the 20% category who averts their eyes from the Cosmopolitan at the checkout counter. Quit acting like your some super moral human being who doesn't ever look on another person in a less than appropriate manner. Oh wait, I forgot. Only the flags do that. Right?
What's with the self portrait?

Same sex non sexual behavior is already decriminalized.
We have openly homosexual missionaries who come out and post pride messages on their missionary pages. This is accepted.
Anyone who thinks we aren't already a homosexual affirming Church is living in the past.
The ONLY thing unacceptable right now is homosexual sexual actions.
Agreed. There is a gay man who wrote a book on why he joined the church. He is booked with youth firesides in Utah… he’s very popular.

I haven’t really watched any so I’m not sure what is being taught.
Has this LGBTQ guy engaged in homosexual sexual actions beyond kissing etc.? (I wonder where the line is drawn.)

I seem to recall a conference talk about flying close to the trees...
Hartman Rector
In my experience, I have found that it is very, very dangerous to fly just high enough to miss the treetops. I spent twenty-six years flying the navy’s airplanes. It was very exciting to see how close I could fly to the trees. This is called “flat hatting” in the navy, and it is extremely dangerous. When you are flying just high enough to miss the trees and your engine coughs once, you are in the trees.
Now let’s pretend that the navy had a commandment—“Thou shalt not fly thy airplane in the trees.” As a matter of fact, they did have such a commandment. In order to really be free of the commandment, it becomes necessary for me to add a commandment of my own to the navy’s commandment, such as, “Thou shalt not fly thy airplane closer than 5,000 feet to the trees.” When you do this, you make the navy’s commandment of not flying in the trees easy to live, and the safety factor is tremendously increased.
Admittedly, the latter commandment is your own addition, and care should be exercised that you do not get it mixed up with the law and expound it as the law. Rather, it is your own commandment, invented by you for your own self-preservation; and, if you are going to preach it, it should be expounded as such.
We should studiously avoid placing ourselves in positions where we could be overcome by temptation. Paul’s admonition that we avoid even the appearance of evil certainly represents an addition to the Lord’s commandment, which is, to “forsake all evil” and “entangle not yourselves in sin.” (See D&C 98:11; D&C 88:86.) But if we follow Paul’s admonition, we will find the Lord’s commandment much easier to live.

ya, I guess you're right.
Most members would prefer convo on important things . lol.
Like - instead of boring subjects - like Isaiah ( which BTW the Lord commanded us to search diligent;y his words)
( no big deal ),
but most would prefer discussing important things - as you can see,
LGBTQ - RSTUVWXYZ
Same- Sex Attraction
etc
etc.
and like you said. Having a "good gay sex debate"
lol.

Let’s assume the worst happens. Russia launches a nuclear war. We respond. China responds. How fast can we march to Missouri and build a temple and erect one in Jerusalem? Does all of the prophecy in the Doctrine and Covenants become irrelevant? Or do we all just repent of Mormonism, say the sinner’s prayer, and wait for Jesus to come back?

We will be gathered by an angel of the Lord (d&c 77 and book of Isaiah). This angel will have power over the elements to gather righteous people from all over the world (a latter day Moses). He will have power over all elements, natural and man made to lead and protect the people who will help build the heavenly city Zion…..which Enoch’s city will come out of heaven to join. No earthly war can stop it.
It will be spectacular.

and what did you expect, from church leaders who just follow the World and it's leaders,
following and serving satan's servants.
Didn't ya know, this mask thing is passé.
Time for Plan B
But right now, you're supposed to be focused on hating Russia and feeling sorrow for Ukraine
while they bring in their next Plannedemic, that will most certainly, like before, scam church leaders
and it's gullible members that follow them.

I went last Saturday too. (By appointment, weeks in advance…).
Still practicing “social distancing” by restricting patrons to 20 of each gender per session, but no one made anyone sit 6’ away from anyone else…
But no masks…!!
Weird how we’ve regressed back to filmstrip style presentation…. I had a filmstrip projector on my mission…. Back in the ‘80’s…. And so it seems, the more we stride forward, the more we stay the same….

I believe they did this to standardize the presentation in many languages. Instead of a different film in each language, they can use the stills in any language. All you need are voice actors in each language.

I like the idea.
Only I’m sure a lot of “tradition” would be proclaimed as doctrine.
Ie: my wife was told things regarding garments had to be a specific way… and so followed that instruction for decades. Then later it was made clear there were no reasons for some things, and the other irritating “rules” changed.

HereWeGo wrote: ↑March 14th, 2022, 9:28 pm I am 71 and everyone that I know in my age range cannot allow themselves to consider that the Church is changing as much as it is. I point things out to friends and they usually admit that they see it. But they cannot make the leap to question what is going on. "I can't have been wrong all this time!". It would require admitting to themselves that the teachings have changed and the church is no longer the one that they grew up in. What does that mean about all of the service that they gave to the Church for decades? I think that can be terrifying to someone who is in their 60s, 70s, 80s and up. They may consider themselves too old to make life changes and, therefore, choose to remain comfortable in their "Church" easy chairs. The problem is they had a testimony that "the Church is true" which means little more than "I know that Microsoft is true!".
I am in my mid-60s, and I think if God had not been working with me over the last 15 years, I would be one of them not seeing. I have said so many times, "This is not the church I grew up in." The church I was in as a child had socializing and community; each organization was independent (no asking the bishop if they could do the tiniest things). The leaders quoted scriptures. Scriptures were often quoted in sacrament meeting. People would open up their scriptures to follow along. In fact, one general authority said that if what they said didn't square with scriptures, we should discard what they said (I think that was Joseph Fielding Smith). They never held lavish birthday parties for themselves. No one thought that every opinion ought to be held as coming from God, himself.
One time, an apostle misquoted scripture in general conference, saying that the very elect would be deceived. I made a comment to a roommate that he got it wrong. The scripture was that "if possible" the very elect would be deceived. She told the man we were working for (he happened to be a BYU professor; we were working in his home, taking care of his ailing wife). He said to me, "I hear you're quite the scriptorian." No chastisement. No telling me I had no right to call an apostle wrong.
Yes, I did believe they talked with Jesus all the time, and I believed other falsehoods, but neither the church nor the 15 men at the top were like they are today.
In order to stand in these last days, people will need a testimony of Christ, the BoM, Joseph Smith, etc and not that a corporation is true.
Spot on. This is the only way anyone will stand.
The Book of Mormon needs to have its reputation disengaged from any organized religion. It needs to be as free as the Bible. It should be in every home no matter what religion the people in it espouse or don't espouse.

I find it absolutely blasphemous that the LDS church considers itself to be the stone cut from a mountain without hands that will consume the world (the Kingdom of God). If Joseph honestly said that, then I think he's referring to the work of the Father being the stone cut from the mountain without hands, and at the time of Joseph, I agree that the work the Lord was doing through him was part of that. But I no longer consider the LDS church to be the kingdom of God on earth or being part of that stone cut without hands work
I believe the stone cut out of the mountain without hands is God's kingdom, but it is not any religion or sect, the LDS Church included. I think it is what Nephi (son of Lehi) saw, when he saw small groups all over the planet who were part of the Church of the Lamb, who were armed with the power of God. God said in the D&C that he can do his own work, and I believe that he is doing that right now. It is our responsibility to get on board - instead of following some man/men (or woman/women) who think they have the right to stand between us and God, and tell us what to do.

My prediction is the Corporation of the First Presidency continues buying real estate, building spacious buildings, stacking piles of cash and grinding the faces of the poor. In other words, only window dressing changes, nothing significant in the next few years.
Only when disagreeing with the rainbow coalition is officially categorized as hate speech by the gov't will you see the church make a doctrinal change. We saw it with the virus, where the gov't mandated what we should do and the church said we should all cooperate. That's how it will go down. Everyone's been through the drill so they know what to do.

I wonder if they will excommunicate Romneys for fraud and money laundering . . . however, like father , like son . . . Bain capital . . . or maybe ex the new zealand prime for crimes against humanity . . . I think that the people in our church are so wicked that the brethren have honestly given up on any discipline at all . . . .even in their talks . . . .
love for everyone . . .plenty of love for all . . . btw I've already seen gays in the temple. . . they are probably those that have served a mission or gone to BYU and been endowed . . . two young girls one night in the temple chapel smacking it up . . .literally all over each other touching and getting in a couple of kisses . .
of course, the rudeness and sexual stuff gets brought in there, too . . . one night the proxy couple for the endowment were a little mismatched for age . . .she was 30 . . he was 65 . . .anyway . . she kept lifting her dress to expose her legs and I don't know what else she exposed. . . the man at the altar was having a melt down over it . . however, he never stopped the session and asked her to stop . . .
I am obnoxious like my boys, would have stopped the endowment and asked her to quit or replace her . . . who do we get approval from? . . .man or God. . . why are we afraid to keep his ordinances holy as the cost of offending . . .I say if she got offended by being replaced, then she needs to grow up . . .
I have actually asked people to stop talking . . . during the endowment . . . the instructions at the first say to shut up until you have gone through the veil . . then you can whisper . . .
one night one of the male officiators kept waving the triangle sign of the illuminati then grinning . . . he was maybe 21 yrs old . . . I did stop the session and when they took me in the hall I asked that he stop doing that . . . he said he would but the other old raisins didn't even know what I was talking about . . .
our temples have become so polluted cuz bishops and stake presidents don't care. . . they just care about numbers. . . nobody teaches repentance anymore in our church . . .
where'sAlma when you need him
