I never cease to be amazed how badly informed a lot of people are. I've just had someone tell me "all countries have nuclear weapons", after I pointed out Russia has nukes.* How do you deal with these people?

It gets even worse when it comes to other subjects. If I started discussing the World Economic Forum with these people, they'd assume I was making it up, mad or switch off. Fourth Industrial Revolution, and either the same, or they'd misunderstand it, and say, "But we're doing that already."

(* If you're wondering the real figure, it's supposedly nine - Russia and the USA, followed by PR China, UK, France, Pakistan, India, Israel and North Korea. I don't know how accurate the figures of total nukes are in the diagram. I'm amazed China has so few. For what it's worth, I suspect the American ones are more accurate and better built, just Russia has a lot of them.)

What is most damming - in the sense of holding someone back from learning & thereby being more harmful - is a bad mix of pride and ignorance. If one is competent, then humility is less necessary. If one is humble, then they’re teachable. But to be proud AND ignorant is pretty lost.

Also, “all are ignorant - only on different subjects.” In a series, Sherlock Holmes is extremely brilliant in solving cases but is ignorant about basic astronomy - justifying his ignorance saying “astronomy is less useful knowledge so why pay attention to it?” The word, intelligence - root meaning is “to choose between” - a constant challenge.

Intelligence is truth and light. Your post explains exactly how Lucifer has the truth but not the light. Even the devils believe.

There are many in possession of lots of information that are completely lacking the light portion. Always learning but never coming to a knowledge.

We must remember that the "Low information people" are being intentionally kept that way. Opposing voices to the narrative are de-platformed, "fact" checked, and uniformly ridiculed by the mainstream media. I was on the wrong side of covid for the first 2-3 months. I am the type that I try to keep an open mind and be willing to change my mind as I discover new information. I am not a humble person, as I should be, but I do realize that I very likely don't have all the facts on ANYTHING. Not out of humility, but simply learning that the more that I know, always makes me aware of even more that I don't know, and then add the things that I don't know that I don't know (which is probably a billion times more than what I know I don't know) and it does put one in one's place.

It is very frustrating to see your way of life being destroyed by well-intentioned but uninformed people. They have been conditioned to not dig deeper, and to feel very righteously convinced of their positions. And many of us that may be better informed tend to lack good communication skills, and rather than being helpful come off as "know-it-alls" that are basically telling the majority that they are idiots. A difficult conundrum. May God help us.

How many people know about all the UK & US Pacific “territories” where people were kicked off their land to do nuclear bomb testing - & made many sick from nuclear fallout and radiation poisoning. Admittedly, I didn’t realize this until recently.

Israel's on there. But yes, there are countries like Canada, Iran, South Africa, Brazil, Japan, Australia and others that would have the capability of developing them, but haven't for various reasons.

I appreciate how you often see multiple perspectives of issues.

It is a difficult problem, which I think goes deep or universal. Wanting to believe news/media/political-religious-leaders have it all under control & know what’s going on & what’s best. False god. And they are no match for military-trained PSY OPS (Psychological Operations) directing subtle but influential attacks at them. Not until the last few years did I even realize there is a distinct military organization just for influencing minds.

In C.S. Lewis' novel Perelandra, there is a very cunning demonic figure. At times it is very intelligent, and others moronic. It only sees intelligence as a thing to wear occasionally, but cannot maintain it.

Unfortunately, regardless of Satan himself, he has used "gold and silver" to buy up some of the most intelligent people out there, and they're working in labs and elsewhere.

He can be intelligent, but he is not wise, that's the difference.

The irony of your statement is that Nuclear weapons don’t exist. Hiroshima were fire bombs. Took less than a decade for trees/plants and people to live there. I feel your pain. I don’t understand how limited peoples knowledge is. Nukes aren’t real. Just fyi

What I have seen about low information people is what has been termed "sound bites" You hear or read a sentence or fragment of a sentence, and just go with it. Worse than being low information is it usually misleading. Worse than believing you are uninformed in that area you think you are informed. Part of this is the mass volume of information that comes our way. There is no filter.

It is not just people. In my role as work as a senior engineering fellow, I spent nearly all my time trying to explain to engineering execs that spent their day working "diversity" in their free that what they thought they new was just plain wrong. They jumped on a sound bite and ran with it. It was much, much harder to turn about someone that thought they new than someone who would admit they didn't know and were open to learning.

That seems were we are today, Take COVID and masks. Sound bites said how much they saved people's lives. that other parts of the world have been using them for decades, like Dr's in surgery. Bam. Two years of telling people they dont' work (very well) have side effect, and are no longer needed (never were). They cannot handle it because they never understood why in the first place. Low information decisions. Take the COVID origin. Now most here know if was man made, but the constant lies early that condemned contrary views are making it hard for anyone to accept the truth when it becomes unveiled. Same with voter fraud, especially here where I live. Inflation and causes. Unemployment.

The ultimate was Biden's SOTU speak, sound bite, after sound bite, saying what people want to hear, almost all direct and unsupportable lies, but moved across swiftly. One example that sticks with me here is when he said women deserve equal rights and to be treated fairly. Everyone clapped and the room exploded. He then spent the next few minutes talking about his abortion initiatives equating that to women's rights. People all want those laws passed because they want womens rights but they aren't correlated.

I've been to Hiroshima. The damage to the soil in the park around ground zero is still visible (or was in 1997). Trees grow in it, but it is clearly less fertile than comparable land a few miles away.

The trouble is that it isn't just Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There have been a lot of atomic tests, many of which have been seen by neutral bystanders. Some of them could even be seen from downtown Las Vegas.

Either way, our opinions may be different, but I think a person has to be a special kind of stupid to believe all countries have them. I have more respect for your viewpoint than hers.
