This is one of my most prized possessions.
I bought my first copy more than 25 years ago from across the street from the Los Angeles temple at an LDS bookstore.
When coming out of the store with a copy of gold embossed Ethiopic text on its hard bound cover a black man approached me and asked what is this book in your hands.
When I told him it was a book found in Ethiopia by a Scottish Explorer James Bruce in 1773 and printed in English in 1883 and that Enoch was a great grandfather of us all he said that he was from Ethiopia and that this was his language on the cover of the book.
I asked him to please read to me what it said and he related the story of a man plowing with his oxen and came across some starving people and having pity upon them slew his oxen and fed the starving people.
I marveled that the coincidence of coming out of the book store as he was walking down the street.
I never came across this story while reading this book.
I have gone to the Bodleian Library site on the Internet:
http://www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/bodley/fin ... des/hebrew
Scroll down this page till you see "Hebraica" tap on that, then look for "Ethiopic".
I found that just a few years after Joseph Smith testified on March 28, 1835 in section 107 verse 57 that the book of Enoch is to be testified of in due time just a few years later in 1843 the Bodleian Library purchased James Bruce collection of 25 Ethiopic manuscripts of which one was the rare text of Enoch.
And that years after that Richard Laurence had translated into English for printing in 1883 out of London.
This very morning while shopping for some breakfast items for the family in Safeway Market in the frozen food aisle I was talking about the book to a female clerk working in the frozen food section.
She was wondering why she was where she was in life and about her purpose in life.
All of the sudden she lit up like a Christmas tree when I mentioned the Bodleian Library and said to me she had been there inside the Bodleian Library.
And when I mentioned about how I believe that their was still much to be translated left in that library of the 25 Ethiopic manuscripts and of the story of the man had read to me off the cover she said possibly it was fate itself that I talked to her. She had desires to return to that part of Europe and with that information about possible untranslated Ethiopic text she felt a desire to seek that out and if not translated into English some of it, to see that it got translated.
I was blown away. I told her she better give me a business card or some other way to keep in touch as I was definitely interested in finding out.
How strange I thought of both meetings in my life and of the billions of people who are on this earth that I would have come across these two individuals interested in the book of Enoch the Prophet.
I testify again that I have read what Enoch one of all of us greatest grandfather's to have walked this earth and to have written specifically for us to see his words in the "latter days" as he has written. That I believe that the councel given of Enoch for us is of greater worth than all the gold and silver in the world. ♡

---------------
Please obtain a copy of this 1883 edition by Richard Laurence if at all possible and read it through at least 10 times underlining and highlighting the special councel this ancient grandfather has given to you of how to know righteousness and goodness and integrity and what is not.
You will be glad you did.
--------------------------------
I forgot to mention on a book marker I had purchased also at the LDS bookstore was the fate of the original Twelve Apostles.
MATTHEW - was slain by the sword in the city of Ethiopia at about 60 AD. He had been to Ethiopia also.
----------------
Again as a reminder:
Doctrine and Covenants section 107 verse 57:
"These things were all written in the book of Enoch, and are to be testified of in due time."
I testify that the words written in the book of Enoch are of great worth beyond that of silver and gold.

Another piece of advice and knowledge-
"Then I saw, that the man, who wrote the book at the word of the Lord, opened the book of destruction, of that destruction which the last twelve shepherds wrought; and pointed out before the Lord of the sheep, that they destroyed more than those who preceded them.
And he spoke to the man who wrote in his presence, who was one of the seven white ones, saying, Take those seventy shepherds, to whom I delivered up the sheep, who receiving them killed more of them than I commanded. Behold, I saw them all bound, and standing before him. First came the trial of the stars, which, being judged, and found guilty, went to the place of punishment. They thrust them into a place, deep, and full of flaming fire, and full of pillars of fire. Then the seventy shepherds were judged, and being found guilty, were thrust into the flaming abyss. At that time likewise I perceived, that one abyss was thus opened in the midst of the earth, which was full of fire.
And to this were brought the blind sheep; which being judged, and found guilty, were all thrust into that abyss of fire on the earth, and burnt."
Who but The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has twelve and seventy shepherds leading them upon this whole earth?
It would be good to awaken from this nightmare about to fall upon all that are blind by not being equal in their temporal things and this not grudgingly.
Search the prophets that have written down every single thing that Jesus Christ has said to do, and every single way that Jesus Christ has said to be like, and all the things Jesus Christ has said to know from all the Scriptures written that you can find.
May God bless you and keep you safe as you keep his commandments which he has given you. ♡

♡
Be not blind nor have the power of ignorance overcome you. Come to know all of his words which he has given us. ♡

Return, atone, and learn not to burn.
