Just spend time with my family and other nearby loved ones and pray for The Work of The Father to progress and that those in need of assistance may find it

Im in a blast radius of a high priority target.
So i would pray for God to revenge the death of my children and all the innocent people 100 times upon the lying heads of government, the greedy corporatists, and the vain elites.
If by turning my dying thoughts to revenge instead of forgiveness cursed me to walk the earth as a troubled spirit, then I would haunt Mitt Romney.

Re: If a nuke was launched at you because WW3 started. What would you do with your final hours of life?
I do believe I have shared this experience on this forum.
We were stationed on Hickam AFB when the intercontinental ballistic missile
Scare happened a few years back. At first when the alert went off on our phones we were like, “ah, we are on base, no sirens, and my wife’s phone was not lighting off, which it should have been. So we thought, someone blew it……but next thing you know the air raid sirens went off…..teenage daughter totally focused on mom
And I…….we FaceTimed our son on the mainland and had a family prayer, while I texted my brothers and sisters the emergency warning alert…..I remember I think we had a time frame of 25 minutes till arrival?
After our prayer, I cooked bacon eggs and waffles, it was weird, we put our faith in the lord and moved on.
Later we saw where people were shoving their kids in The sewer system, the panic……
I’ve got a bad heart, but I thank the lord every day I wake
Up. I believe that our eternal life is so much greater than this, I say, lets get it started…..
So, what would I’d do? I’d make bacon eggs and waffles.

I would cook the most expensive steak I could find. Then I would take a few sleeping pills. I'd die full of steak after having a wonderful nap.

Interesting. I've been thinking about what will cause the power grid to go out in this country.
I think that if this happens in Ukraine or in Taiwan this year, Then the grid out scenario is almost certainly going to happen in this country from those same hands. That's what I think FWIW

Honestly I would probably spend it repenting for everything I had ever done, and then afterwards I'd get some ice cream. As the bomb dropped I would listen to Enya.

I would be like, "Now why would anyone waste a bomb on Mexico?"
After asking that question, yes, stop whatever it is that I am doing and then huddle up with my family and pray together that the survivors will be able to be wiser than we had been.

Final hours?
Apparently we would only get a 4 minute warning here.
Just enough time to send a WhatsApp message out to all of my children.

I think zero power will be the least of our problems. Being vaporized in a nuclear Holocaust will massively reduce our future energy needs.
Or does Dr Jones, nuclear physicist, know something we don't?
is he hinting to us that - nukes don't exist!?

That's about right. Very little of the UK which would be safe to be in. Maybe some parts of the Highlands, but even then... about a quarter to a third of the Highlands will be in the fall out zone for Glasgow and Faslane nuclear sub base. Aberdeen, possibly Inverness, and a string of RAF installations may also be attacked.Robin Hood wrote: ↑February 28th, 2022, 12:04 am Final hours?

The other "remote" areas are all too near targets -Plymouth and Bristol will affect the West Country, rural Wales is near Milford Haven and the Midlands. Most of northern England and southern Scotland is near enough major settlements/facilities to be in trouble. Southern England will be a wasteland. Belfast will likely be a target too affecting south west Scotland and much of NI.
We'd both be toast where we are. Best thing we can do is be right with God.

Re: If a nuke was launched at you because WW3 started. What would you do with your final hours of life?
During the time of 9-11 we were living out in the country about 30 miles from a nuclear plant. On 9-12 I was out working in the yard when several fighter jets flew overhead towards the nuclear plant. We were not in a training area for the military... very unsettling. My husband ran outside and we hugged.
Initial fear is common. Our secondary thoughts were gratitude that we were able to be together, as we both travelled a great deal. I made lunch, we prayed and held hands. Life is good.
If we have any warning.... I can only pray that I am blessed to be with my husband and have time to contact the boys. The Lord already knows what is in my heart.

The prevailing wind in the UK is south-westerly, so it would be very difficult to avoid the fall-out. Maybe the Hebrides.Niemand wrote: ↑February 28th, 2022, 5:16 amThat's about right. Re: If a nuke was launched at you because WW3 started. What would you do with your final hours of life?
"Final Hours"? How long do you think it takes an ICBM to get to your place? When I was a young Lieutenant, I worked at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station with NORAD. I can't say how long they expect it to take for ICBMs to travel from Russia/China to the US mainland... but hours is an exaggeration. Now if it's a sea launch, it's even shorter. So, the moment I hear a nuke is heading my way, I'll quietly thank the Lord in prayer for the time I've had here and await my demise.
-- Geoff
Edit: I was a Crew Commander that managed and monitored the systems that tracked the Early Warning Missile/Air/Space defense mission capabilities. Whenever any missile launch went off anywhere in the world, I knew VERY quickly when and where it took place, and was on the NORAD Command Center calls that would "analyze" trajectory and threat and timing of impact. Was a pretty cool assignment.

We have a member locally who says he has a friend in "intelligence" - who in turn said the following: Last week there was a Russian Submarine with nuclear weapons which our country cannot track if it is deeply submerged. (Is that part true?)LateOutOfBed wrote: ↑February 28th, 2022, 6:54 am "Final Hours"? How long do you think it takes an ICBM to get to your place? This sub surfaced in the Gulf of Mexico for long enough to be seen visually, then it re-submerged and its location was lost.
Is this feasible - or nonsense?

Re: If a nuke was launched at you because WW3 started. What would you do with your final hours of life?
It's all too plausible. There are ways of tracking subs such as magnetism and water displacement but these can have workarounds. A high tech sub could be adapted so it could theoretically sit on the seabed for weeks on end without even moving or being detected. Some are probably designed to look like sealife.BroJones wrote: ↑February 28th, 2022, 7:52 amWe have a member locally who says he has a friend in "intelligence" - who in turn said the following: Last week there was a Russian Submarine with nuclear weapons which our country cannot track if it is deeply submerged. The Russians and Chinese have bad governments, but I would not write off all their tech. They put a lot of time and money into R&D, and they also steal off the US. They pop up all the time in western European waters, very close to the UK. In some cases, you're talking about near enough for them to see things on land with a pair of decent binoculars.
As I've pointed out elsewhere, smaller devices could be brought into port areas onboard container ships etc. You could certainly take out parts of NY and NJ, San Francisco bay, New Orleans etc with a small nuke hidden in a ship sailing up into the city. It would be a kind of kamikaze mission for those involved but it's feasible. This is the only way I believe NK or possibly Iran could launch a viable attack onto the USA.

Re: If a nuke was launched at you because WW3 started. What would you do with your final hours of life?
I've found most people who claim to have a "friend in intelligence" and then follow up with spreading information are typically lying (or their friend is). If their friend is truly in military intel, 95% or more of their information is considered classified and they wouldn't be able to "leak it to a friend" without potentially facing several years in Ft. Leavenworth. I have many friends in military intel... and they never share anything with me unless it's needed for my job an inside a proper SCIF. In fact, years after working in many of my military positions there are many things I can't say about my work there without potentially facing the same consequence. Could a Russian (or other sub) make it into the Gulf of Mexico undetected? I'm willing to bet that it is possible, but if a sub did this, it would be an interesting decision to "purposely surface" just to "disappear" again. I guess the sub commander might do that if someone was trying to "send a message" though. From an Air War College perspective, I could see making a strategic threat using a nuclear sub that way...BroJones wrote: ↑February 28th, 2022, 7:52 am

Dodgy guidance systems maybe? Places like San Diego and LA are near enough to Mexico that anything aimed at there could go potentially cross the border.Subcomandante wrote: ↑February 27th, 2022, 11:59 pm I would be like, "Now why would anyone waste a bomb on Mexico?"

Hey I admit I have no actual clue how long it would take for a nuclear strike to arrive. Do you believe our government can intercept most nuclear missles if launched?
