I don't think you have trained in the open, let alone in classified environments to deal with them. So, who is listening to MSM? Also, I was being sarcastic in general with no real point, except there is nothing solid on any front.

But, I'm sorry IMO Putin is delusional. Haven't you seen him naked riding horses? Have you listened to his approach for 20 years? have you read about his military capabilities. Do you know what he did in KGB? Did you see how he treated the presidency? or the Prime ministership? He IS delusional, the question is simply how much?

I don't doubt you really think so. But where do you get the information to form that judgment? What are your sources? Your knowledge will be as good as they are. Are they comprehensive? Do you read opinions of those who sympathize with him or only those who don't? Do you read Russian news sources or just American?

Have YOU "listened to his approach", or to someone else's interpretation of it?

I'm not saying he's great, or good or even right. I'm saying he's not crazy. And dismissing him as such can say as much about us as about him. I'm saying we Americans need to take the trouble to get a more rounded less US-centric view of foreign countries and their leaders if we are not to fall victim to PTB's propaganda.

What did I miss? Didn't we take out Ghadaffi because he wanted to enrich his people and establish water for all of Africa? So what's the real story behind Russia. As of this morning, we are at DEFCON 3 and Europe is at 2. Our level hasn't changed in quite a while. We haven't been at 2 since '62. Then it was only for a very short period of time. Of course, Europe is on a different level than we are but, we are not anywhere near Nuclear war yet. That could change in a matter of minutes, but not very likely, at least from Russia. Vlad is no idiot. However, Iran or even China on the other hand could easily launch a nuke or a hundred at Israel and Taiwan respectively. WE have no business being involved in Ukraine or Russia or in their politics period. Putin will pull back unless Biden's quasi sanctions continue, or if they actually start having a negative impact on Russia. While, Putin is no idiot, he is also not one to back down, and he will not be bullied. He will push farther inward IF our IIC and the beneficiaries of Ukraine corruption here don't back off. How many more millions do the Romneys, Bidens, Pelosis, and McConnels, actually need?

Some of that behaviour is bizarre to western eyes, but it makes sense to Russian ones. For example the horse thing - what was that all about? It's because his predecessor Yeltsin was almost permanently drunk and on the verge of a heart attack... under Yeltsin's watch, American "advisors" (even publicised in "Time" magazine!) dismantled Russia's economy, the country completely destabilised and criminals ran rampant. A lot of Russians just upped and left. At one point Yeltsin was having open heart surgery while the briefcase of nuclear codes was lying beside him in the operating theatre. There was worse too.

Remember this is the public image of the leader who came before Putin, when their country was falling apart:








Yeltsin was what we would call a "pisshead" in these parts.

That's why Putin did that, so he could project physical fitness and control and say to the Russians that he wasn't about to collapse in a heap, drop dead or vomit on your shoes. Yes, it was a bit gay, and pretty tasteless, if we're honest here, but Putin is in very good physical shape for his age. Mentally too, unlike Yeltsin or Biden. He's not permanently sloshed or dancing around. I also think despite his ruthlessness, he's a lot brighter than his opposite numbers elsewhere, that is partly why the KGB probably selected him in the first place.

Now and then he does say some things which are spot on - he's right about Greta Thunberg for example, and a few other things.
