I politely answered the first 3 questions she asked, but then I decided I was done satisfying her curiosity.

We all need to get cameras.
I want to get an old car set up with hidden mics and videos and then get a temporary registration and start trolling for Cops. What fun that would be. Why we could probably get enough info to have 100 42 USC 1983 cases within a month.
Until it is more expensive for Cops to violate your rights than for the System to harass Citizens and use traffic stops as revenue generation devices nothing will change.
I saw a watch you can buy that has two hours of video and audio on it. What fun that would be.
We all love the story of David v Goliath. This is our chance to be David.

I'm not too sure that fighting the cops is the way to go though. As fun and interesting as it would surely be, we need to look higher up to where the real problem is. A lot of energy spent on people just trying to do their job in the way they're taught. I don't think a lot of them have malicious intent. I could tell by the silence of the one cop in the video that you went over his head. I wonder how many just don't get it.

The SS of Germany where just good people doing there job too rounding up people.
CHH I've wanted to do rig my auto with 4 cameras and mics but it all come down to not having enough money.

I had a cop block me in at a supermarket because i didnt put my shopping cart away. He wouldnt move his car and let me out until I put it away. Can you believe that?

You posted a link to a watch before that was kind of expensive. Type in "camcorder watch" into google and there are a number of less expensive models that would work also. Look to be the same thing.

If you guys would stop driving 110MPH and throwing your beer cans out the windows, maybe the cops would leave you alone.

Same problem and I am working on that. That is one of the reasons I am suing the Cops. I need the money to protect myself from them. I want a sign on the window of every car I am in that tells the police that EVERYTHING they say is being videoed and will be used against them in court.

Really. I got a ticket on Friday because I was hit from behind and forced into another car AFTER I had come to a complete stop.

Harrisville cops must not have much to do. Did they pass a law there regarding the proper handling of shopping carts? Or was the cop just on a typical power trip?

In the Sacramento area...due to a desire to increase revenues on the strained coffers of the police...the local police chief was on the news saying that the police have "goals" for giving out a minimum of 100 tickets a month. He was asked..."Are you talking about quotas" and he said "NO...these are not quotas...they are goals"!
What a load of garbage. They truly are revenue collection agents.

The whole click it or ticket is another money making scheme. I remember some years back reading an article in a law enforcement trade magazine where police chiefs were licking their chops over the additional revenue this law would generate. Of course, publicly they stated that it was only to keep us safe.
So, if they are only concerned with our safety, then why require motorists to belt up but allow motorcyclists to ride around without helmets? I think that seat belts and helmets are a good idea, but let people choose.

There is a cop in my ward he said the people with warrants have a higher rate of not wearing their seatbelts and that the click it or ticket campaign is just another tool to round up those people and imprison them. It is just another tool to have the most imprison nation on earth. And I thought we are the land of the free.

Off topic, but minneapolis would be a good location to put a military to launch operations. Water, railroads and 94 that brings you north dakota and Into montana. It is mostly flat through that area so it would be easy (like iraq) to take and all the way to billings. They will start to have problems west of billings. Many people through this area are anti gov and would need to be confronted by a military. Minneapolis is a definatley where I would put an army group if I were them. Good spot I would say.

Gunner, it was a North Ogden police officer who was just on a power trip. Had I been more alert at the time (it was very late and I was tired) I would just have locked my car and walked home not putting the cart away. Latter I called dispatch and asked them if it was the polices job to make me put my cart away like that? They said "yeah thats not really part of the officers job". It's stuff like that that makes the people hate cops. I have had enough negative interaction with cops over the years that I have no respect for most of them.

This is from a paper I wrote about the absurdity of the seat belt laws:
Let me quote Ezra T. Benson, former Secretary of Agriculture, who makes some keen observations about laws in general. "I suggest we use this important test when reviewing the legitimacy or morality of any law. If it were up to me as an individual to punish my neighbor for violating a given law, would it offend my conscience to do so? Since my conscience would never permit me to punish my fellow man unless he has done something evil, or unless he has failed to do something, which I have a moral right to require him to do. I will never knowingly authorize my agent the government to do this on my behalf. I realize that when I give my consent to the adoption of a law, I specifically instruct the police (the government) to take either life, liberty, or property of anyone who disobeys the law.”
Using this test to contrast seat belt laws exposes them as the immoral sham that they really are. One would feel obligated to stop a neighbor from beating up his wife, or to intervene if a burglary was witnessed. But would any of you chastise your neighbor for failure to wear a seat belt much less take money from him in the form of a fine or even worse, lock him up in your basement?

LDSFF, are you saying that this is you in the video? Whoever it is they do a great job of standing up for themselves and not letting themselves be abused. If everyone were like that th cops would be forced to respect the people they serve and not treat them like dirt.
