Is it too early to plant spinach, lettuce, carrots and broccoli in the wasatch front?

Tires and potatoes: We plant all of our potatoes in tires...stacking as the season goes on. Yukon Golds are very early season potatoes and will stop producing potatoes after the second tire or so. We have had gotten good yields from mid to late season varieties, such as red sangre...potatoes throughout the whole stack.

Poultry: Guinea Fowl will eat bugs and not bother your garden. Let the chickens into the garden after the harvest to clean up. It is a real treat for them.

I am planting spinach on Monday. Prepped the soil yesterday, need to get the seeds and do a little more prepping. I would hold on lettuce for a few more weeks. Carrots should be fine as well.

If you search "spinach planting time utah" or alterior vegetable in goolge USU has some good pdf's.
