OK this was really easy, cheap, and fun project to do. A solar oven can use the sun to cook bread, rice, boil water, stews, soups and etc. Take a look.

I have been looking at solar ovens and they run about $250. Rocky, this looks wonderful! Thank you for sharing! (Will it work on a cold day, too?)

One of Dr. Jones' specialties is solar cookers... maybe he'll see this thread and render some ideas/suggestions. Actually, here's a link to one of his demos on how to make an effective one...

That looks great. I have one of those shields in my car. Unfortunately, I live in Scotland, so the weather is rarely hot enough for me to need to use it to keep my interior cool.
