This reminds me of something like Q. I stopped following those people in January, but I noticed they were starting to hint that Q was some sort of "computer" (for lack of better understanding of what word to use), and that Q was Lucifer and that Lucifer was really Jesus....or something to that effect-I didn't dig into it, it was crazy. But see how much of a following Q got???

I see another 40k reader here.
This comment makes me wonder. Its been several years by now that my interest in video games has reduced to almost nothing, and I've never at any time played warhammer or know anything about it.
But more recently now, I've heard from
multiple varying sources about there being significant symbolic/archetypal truth being contained within the Warhammer40k backstory.
One of these is LoS podcast who I've made topics about in the past, who confirm the eery similarity between the trope of ancient near-eastern god`kings, with the 40k lore (the "emperor", i think?)

Are you familiar with Warhammer 30,000?
Fr. Andrew: Warhammer 40k, yes.
Fr. Stephen: Yes, I am somewhat, yes.
Fr. Andrew: Was there some particular thing in there, Samuel, that you had in mind?
Samuel: I was thinking about how, in that setting, humanity is ruled over by an emperor who is around 15 feet tall and now sits on a throne on the highest mountains of earth and requires regular sacrifice.
Fr. Andrew: Yeah, how about that!
Fr. Stephen: Yeah, he’s a god-emperor. In return, he enables interstellar, faster-than-light travel.
Fr. Andrew: Well, there you go. I mean, you’ll see… Once you see these patterns from the ancient world, you’ll start to see them in lots of places. It just keeps getting repeated in culture, whether it’s popular culture or classical literature; it’s everywhere. It’s everywhere.
i'm tempted to click on the lore videos, but i feel i kinda wouldn't get it without having played the game.
i reckn soon i'll start wondering if i should buy and install it simply educational purposes, at this point

Not to get too off topic, but I started reading some of the books about a year ago. The war game is pretty fun too. I do a lot of miniature painting for hobby and this gives you loads of stuff to work on.
Most of the Warhammer universe is pretty simple stuff...Star Wars, but more grimdark.
The Horus Heresy series, however, is what I'm reading now and it is pretty good. Some deep themes in there that are very relatable to our current situation. All about the favorite son of the emperor who goes bad and leads a massive galaxy rebellion (sounds like Star Wars, but not really). I relate to the plot quite a bit because it parallels what the LDS Church is doing. The protagonists really start questioning their beliefs in the organization they're in. At first nobody believes in spiritual beings (good and evil) - it's a science based culture, but that begins to change quickly.
I recommend at least the first four books of the HH if you start reading. Good stuff. This guy does a great intro series on it. Quite long, but an interesting watch (Just watch the first four episodes if you don't want to spoil the books).
