It's not been too bad where I live, thankfully. (Appreciate your thoughts) There was some snow this morning, but it's already melting. We did have a big storm, but it didn't coincide with the snow. I've put grit etc on my road (I seem to be the only person living there who does!!!)

So far it's less bad than you'd expect in much of North America.

We'll see how long this lasts, and how bad it is. Our last really bad winter was 2010 or so. I still have some winter gear from then, and haven't used it much since.

We got the tail end of it.
70 mph winds, several trees down, and a covering of snow.
Happens every year.

No trees down round here. But it is good that the snow and the high winds didn't seem to happen at the same time. I am hoping this will be away soon, but it is early in the year for snow at least in recent decades.

Isn't winter lovely? The one thing that worries me most about this coming winter is some comment that Joe Branden made earlier about a long dark winter coming.

Our rulers weaponise winter these days. That's why they were after Australia and New Zealand six months ago when they were having theirs.
