Santa Cruz county orders indoor mask mandate for families in their own homes

Santa Cruz, California, has ordered an indoor mask mandate for private residents in their own homes during the holiday season.

Santa Cruz County health officer Dr. Gail Newel reinstated the mask mandate last week amid an increase in coronavirus cases in the local area. The order took effect Monday.

I'm curious...how are they going to enforce this and how would they prove it under the presumption of innocence?

Excellent question. I don’t even try to understand this moronic logic...

As for enforcing, I can see neighbors being eager to “tattletale” as the primary method of knowing who is complying.

They won't need to enforce it. People will comply simply for being told.

I was out doing a little Christmas shopping last evening where there is currently no mask mandate here at all in effect. We all went into a shop obviously without wearing one, and while we were there, another family came in all masked up. One child took his off and the mother started to yell at him, "put your mask on, do you want them to throw us out of the store?"

People are so brainwashed they fear authority even when the authority hasn't required anything. It reminds me of the story of the elephants who, fully grown, never wander away from their place because they were forced to wear rope ties when they were small. Now they are trained all on their own, no authority required.

Lefties are human cattle. They don't understand or want freedom.

Wow, I had forgotten about that. Perfect example. All the more damning for those who are forcing this on children.

These are sick people. Sick in the head. And yes, that does include those who would go along with it, without realizing it is meant to demean them, not to stop any disease.

They could always end all mandates. It worked for Florida.

I don't agree with the order but they are not requiring the wearing of the mask at home at all times. Only when non-household members are present.

I feel like 'mind your own business' needs to come back into common usage.

I saw this and just had to laugh. The only way to enforce this would be through snitches. Be grateful if you don't have neighbors who can see your house, if your neighbors are nazi's this might be a tad bit annoying
