"In the presence of the prophet, we have prayed..."
?
Such strange language to use
One time we had Eldnar Bednar come to our stake and as people were waiting for the meeting to start, someone said over the podium, "Brothers and Sisters, we ask you to sit quietly and reverently to prepare for the presence of Elder Bednar." Not sure of the exact words, but basically that. Elder Bednar told us that due to all the growth in the church, we would probably not have another apostle visit for 40 years.

A few years ago when I was much more of a TBM a co-worker friend of mine (who was also an inactive member) sent me a YT video of people claiming that the Brethren were raping children in sex orgies in the SL temple. Obviously at the time I thought it was 100% absurd and I actually got angry at this friend for sending me something so utterly ridiculous.
After seeing photos like this and hearing Rasband say what he's saying makes me think that claim is only 90% absurd...maybe 85% absurd.
This kind of insane talk by Rasband and others in the Q15 has to originate from somewhere. People don't act like this naturally. Your secret character and behavior, whether good or evil, always begins to slip out in your speech.
This obsession with masking and vaccinating everyone has serious sadist, almost sexual, undertones to it.

You're right. They want members to worship Nelson as if he were a god. Soon they'll bring out a new verse for "Follow the Prophet." It'll be an easy change to "Worship the prophet." Those who have obeyed in taking the shots won't even notice. They'll just sing along.

Interesting commentary:
https://thecovidblog.com/2021/04/08/vac ... eam-media/
Take actor Morgan Freeman, for instance. He won an Image Award for his role as God in the 2003 religious comedy “Bruce Almighty.” He reprised the role in the sequel “Evan Almighty.” More recently, Freeman starred in the National Geographic documentary series “The Story of God with Morgan Freeman.” Thus if “god” says its safe to take experimental mRNA and viral vector shots, then it must be safe.
Yay, the Mormons are using God to sell the vaxx, too!!!!

waaaaiaiaiaiat a minute. Hoooooold the fort. Big contradiction that I noticed and silver (whatever) has posted the same exact thought that I had. I'm over their being uninspired but what in the name of Pete was he thinking? That was a trick question.
And, I am sure, that subcomdante poster told all of is repeatedly that this is a global church and the prophet got the shot and gave suggestions for everyone so they would do blah blah blah, blah, blah. I have seen contradictions before and I have seen corrections come through GC suttlely but none of this is consistent.
I am stunned that even these guys can't be consistent with their advice. I don't think the Lord changed or did a double back. No wonder our kids are having a hard time staying with this church.
I want to voice a gripe now. The missionaries came to my house, asked me to change what I was doing so I could contact more people to listen to discussions and, I think join the church. They asked me what new commitment I would make in my life so I could bring more people to them. What???????????? I was nice to them.
So, I asked the missionaries ow the did proselyting work now(as I have other missionaries). Their answer was that there is a new program( a year old now) where they just wait for the contacts to come through the internet to them and then they teach them. Previous missionaries tell me that it is a lot better than trying to call a list of names or tryibng to contact them first. So, the missionaries just wait around till they get a contact through the internet???
I told them that I could do what they are doing only I will do it face to face. So, when someone asks me about my church or intitates the conversation like the people are doing with the missionaries through the internet then I will suggest they get the discussions. Whoa. They didn't like that commitment. hmmmmmmmm
Has anyone besides me noticed that first the missionaries were supposed to knock on doors, then they started teaching members that it was better to proselyte their friends, then they started eating at members houses, then they started playing baseball with some members on sunday, and now after this transformation of the program then the misssionaries don't have to dop anything but sit on their butts and ask the members to do the job.
has anyone besides me also noticed that the convert baptisms have gone down tremendously!!!!! Numbers were very high when missionaries were asked to knock doors and find people. I I counted the number of contacts in a day that the average mormon comes across since we all go to the same job for 40 hours with the same people and we mostly live in the same neighborhood with the same people and then considered the small population of mormons and I realized that the missionaries would contact waaaaay more people if they went to knocking doors that even our stake could contact living in a city of 200,000.
Who ran the statistics on this decision. . .the decision to have the members find all of the contacts. . .what a stupid plan . . .but works good for the dumb missionaries that don't realize where their converts are. Not in a members home cause the converts are all waiting to have someone knock on their door.
If I could knock doors and proselyte, then I would go on a mission again. But, not gonna do a humanitarian or any other kind of mission. . . just want to proselyte. These kids are getting cheated by being led to believe that the only way to get a good convert is through members. . . this cheats them out of the thrill of working to find people who truly are looking for the church but would never by chance, come in contact with a member. Makes me sad.
I think the marred servant or davidic servant will have us go door to door to call for the House of Israel. I think we will personally, face to face collect those who are waiting to be led out of bondage and to see the savior and make covenants with him. I don't think we will wait for them to contact us through the internet. Face to face. Literal gathering.

Simple.
He said in this world of conflict where there are leaders of other persuasions speaking out against the vaccine and the Prophet speaking out in favor of the vaccine, he said to follow the Prophet.

Oh come on that's a cop-out. The letters states to follow wise and thoughtful medical experts and leaders; it didn't say which ones.
They want to have their cake and eat it too.
They want to claim that Nelson is a Prophet and this "urge" comes from God; but "just in case" that doesn't convince you (even though in the letter it doesn't have ANY claim to Prophetic ability), listen to "wise" leaders . . .oh but not THOSE "wise" leaders. Listen to ONLY the "wise" leaders that WE think are wise.
Pick a blasted lane you top-dogs. Either come out and state "God has told me to tell you to get the vaccine" or shut-up and let people make their own decisions. Stop with the double-tongued, wink, wink, nod, nod "we are NOT commanding you to be vaccinated . . . .but if you don't get vaccinated you are damned".
Start actually leading instead of being a bunch of weak-kneed wussies who want it both ways.

I have more respect for the Russian Orthodox leaders than I do our own.
At least they were bold enough to just state up-front that not getting the vaccine is a mortal sin.
I severely disagree with that statement but I respect their leadership for at least taking a stand and communicating their stance plainly, simply with no equivocation or room for interpretation.
Much better leadership than we've got!

The question from the girl was specifically referring to the government leaders of Africa. Rasband was telling this girl to not listen to her government leaders. Which contradicts the church letter. They are hypocrites. They have an agenda. They have a shot to push and stocks to raise.
If they are a "global" church, why in the hell aren't they speaking up for medical tyranny around the globe? Australia just went bat crap crazy and nada from the Q15 when freedom and agency are involved.

I know Africa has a high turnover of leaders, but those who do criticise it, have a tendency to die. Nothing to see here, keep moving. Just a coinky-dense. Let Reuters do the thinking.

Following the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise on July 7, a new meme circulating on social media presents the unfounded claim that he and four other leaders, who also died while in office, were killed for opposing COVID-19 vaccines.
Reuters has debunked similar claims on other posts, visible here here.
The meme ( here , here ) includes the photos of five leaders: Jovenel Moise of Haiti, John Magufuli of Tanzania, Hamed Bakayoko of Ivory Coast, Ambrose Dlamini of eSwatini [aka Swaziland], and Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi.

Tanzania’s leadership faced calls for a smooth succession on Thursday after president John Magufuli, Africa’s most vehement coronavirus skeptic, died following an 18-day absence from public life that drew speculation about his health.

The Prime Minister of Ivory Coast, Hamed Bakayoko, has died in a hospital in Germany, authorities say.
Bakayoko, who was receiving treatment for cancer, passed away on Wednesday, just days after his 56th birthday.
He was appointed prime minister in July, following the sudden death of his predecessor Amadou Gon Coulibaly.

The government of Eswatini says Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini has died, four weeks after he tested positive for coronavirus.

Burundi's President Pierre Nkurunziza, aged 55, has died after suffering a cardiac arrest, the government says.
He was admitted to hospital on Saturday after feeling unwell, his condition improved but on Monday he had a cardiac arrest and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, officials say. After 15 years in power, Mr Nkurunziza was due to step down in August.

A man said to be of "great interest" in the investigation into the murder of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse has been arrested in Turkey.
The businessman, Samir Handal, was detained at Istanbul airport, while he was in transit from the US to Jordan.
He is alleged to have links to Christian Emmanuel Sanon, a Haitian doctor who was arrested in July in connection with Mr Moïse's murder... Mr Handal had reportedly been living in Miami in the US prior to his arrest. It is not known why he was flying to Jordan.
Even though dozens of people have been arrested in connection with Mr Moïse's killing, very little is known about the motive behind it.

I've never confused the power of speech with intelligence, or 'spirituality'.
This kind of propaganda is just like Brave New World, and 1984.
Smooth, carefully chosen words, consistent narrative etc. etc.
But here's the thing, how do these guys have time to 'gather' Israel, when they are sitting on their arses, spouting this sychophantic, corporate ideology. They are hell-bent on buying more and more housing estates, and building/expanding shopping centres.
This miracle, and "blessing" from heaven surely is a blessing...for Pfizer, who anticipate 33 billion this financial year.
Does this Rasband character believe most of us are as stupid as him, and the Mormon leadership?!

I really don't like this. I don't like his demeanor. I don't like his "church voice", eg, "may I share this with you?"
This is what I would ask him:
Can you guarantee that I won't have any negative side effects if I take the shot?
Can you guarantee that Covid will go away if everyone takes the shots?
Can you confirm that the church would inform the members if there are any problems with the shots?
Can you confirm that the church is aware of complications and deaths that have resulted because of the shots?
Ask him those. Not if the prophet said we should get them or not.

I just listened to his General Conference talk again. It's interesting, and we rarely see it when we're blind (we often do it--projection, Jung's Shadow), that everything he said could be understood as against those against the vaccine; but, for anti-vaccine people, everything he said could be understood against the Church leaders.

It was before my time but does anybody remember the 1976 Swine Flu vaccine?. I was talking to my dad the other day and he said the Church back then was pushing that one as well, not sure they went as far as to call it a Godsend but then again they didn't push that "pandemic" nearly as hard as they did this one. Then remember that vaccine was pulled off the market as soon as they realized it was killing people, only a small handful, but that was before drug companies had complete liability protection from these products.
Then there was the 2009 Swine flu debacle which fizzled out after Wolfgang Wodarg called out the WHO, after discovering they were pressured by drug companies into declaring a pandemic to sell vaccines. I remember being in my ward and my bishop urged everybody to take the vaccine in Elders Quorum, at the time I thought why do I need this, nobody around here is sick, so I passed on that one as well. I can't remember what the messaging was from Church headquarters back then but turns out that was a complete scam as well
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... chief.html
The Church seems to have this weird fascination with vaccines and this isn't the first time they've been wrong

I don't think Moses wanted to deal with the political leaders in Egypt. He used the excuse that he stuttered and continued to excuse himself but finally came to accept his call. He gained more and more faith as the Lord revealed miracles through him. He finally became one of the most feared men of Israel in that day.
He had killed an army of the Pharoah of Egypt which caused great fear in the other political leaders of his day. That's why he is brought up by Nephi and others of his progenity. They were proud of him. But he accomplished this because of his repentance..

David O Mckay has been as vocal as ETB, but his writings have disappeared out of the institute texts and other journals. I would have to think back but there were other leaders who supported ETB totally. . .
