Oaks thinks vax mandates are ok...

How much plainer could he say it?
“...the government must sometimes limit the right of some to act upon their beliefs when it is necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of all.”
-
Dallin H. Oaks
In the context of our current situation, he is absolutely implying his stance on the vaxxeen mandates. Remember to "follow the wise and thoughtful recommendations of medical experts and government leaders" (unless of course they advocate for
natural immunity, no, we can't have any of that).
What utter nonsense.
Who agrees with this?

My husband has tried to defend the Brethren, although it’s becoming more difficult, and he has been working in his shop all day and knows nothing about this speech of Oaks. I just read him the statement posted above, and he immediately said, “That’s communism!”
Well said, sweetie.

Where was he when Fauci was sneaking US tax funds to China to make weapons that could kill us all? Seems like limiting Faucis freedom to comit felonies in order to kill millions would be worthwhile.

President Oaks has built for himself a credibility problem.
The stupid vax doesn't protect the health, safety, and welfare of all.
It's almost as if when Nelson passes (if he passes before Oaks), Oaks will be anxious to take the place of the government's left hand to the church, which I guess would just amount to him doing more of what he's doing now.
And I'm tired of what feels like them gaslighting.
And in anticipation of the next "safe and effective" statement, if I hear them call the dangerous vax "safe and effective" one more time, something in my body might explode.

“...the government must limit the authority of government officals and government bureacrats, this is necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of all.”
Fixed it.

“...the government must sometimes limit the abilty of the mega rich and super corporations to accumulate more wealth and build monopolies, this is necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of all.”

Show me an atrocity committed by government anywhere at any time that didn’t rest on this very excuse to some extent. It’s stuff like this that makes me glad that 99% of humanity recognizes the brethren as the frauds they are.

Show me an atrocity that wasn't committed by a government, supported by the rich and carefully promoted by the sophistry of the media or talking heads.

The church is on the Agenda 2030 global-communism program. It's just going to get crazier from here on out. It's not going back to normal. It's going to head in the direction of evil until it is destroyed. It's too committed to too many wrong things, just like Hillary Clinton is, to reverse course, anymore. Its probably better to get off this merry-go-round before there is negative personal consequence which is NOT elective in nature (unlike the current vaxx situation).
All this emphasis on using the full name of the church is going to have the effect of heaping more coals on everyone's heads, since they are grossly taking the Lord's name in vain by going along with leaders who are pushing the satanic NWO. No points for playing dumb about it.
All but one of my church friends who KNOWS the vaxx scam is evil, just can't get around to acknowledging that the leaders are lying. They know these are lies (ie "safe and effective"), but because the blessed leaders are speaking them, they cannot be called liars. Simple truth test. Most people don't want truth. They want lies, even when they are hating the lies.

I knew Oaks was a carpetbagger when he was going around the country talking about religious freedom. Then when Hobby Lobby and so many other churches and companies were complaining that the Obama mandate was forcing them to support abortion, all we heard from him and the church was crickets. No real world application of his alleged beliefs. All for show. He might as well be called Elder W’Oaks at this point.

Oaks' credibility is completely shot as far as I'm concerned. And the fact that he's next in line for the top job doesn't bode at all well.
But maybe Bishop Koyle is right and three leaders will pop their clogs in quick succession and this nightmare will be over.

I think it’s far from over. New leadership in that organization won’t change a thing IMO.

Here's the thing... People need to limit the government just as much (if not more) as the government needs to limit buisnesses and provide structure for a balanced, safe, and free society.

I do. There is nothing which he said that is against the Constitution. Though it will upset those that have insisted on a wholly individualistic approach to the Constitution.

He's saying it in a time when the government is using a crisis to exact control upon the lives of citizens in a gadianton power grab the size and scope of which is unprecedented probably in all of human history.

What they're saying is that their
limitations on government were meant to help with domestic tranquility and promote the general welfare.

Government was actually increased by the Constitution. Because there was virtually none in the preceding Articles of Confederation. The end goal was to create a more perfect union.

That's not my point (whether it was more or less before or after). My point is that we should read the constitution as a set of limitations put upon government and unalienable rights God gave the people that the government has no right to infringe upon.
Viewing it otherwise leaves room in the mind for excuses to grow the government. It becomes a fancy machine that spits out new organizations and "authorities" perpetually, trampling on the rights of the people in the process. Like right now.

Try to get me vaxxed for “the welfare of all” and see what happens. Medical apartheid is absolutely unconstitutional.

It says 'promote the general welfare' not 'mandate the general welfare'
and SECURE THE BLESSINGS OF LIBERTY TO OURSELVES AND OUR POSTERITY.
