Russian analyst: U.S. will collapse next year,

Kremlin-linked scholar cites economic woes, 'social and cultural phenomena'

MOSCOW - If you're inclined to believe Igor Panarin, and the Kremlin wouldn't mind if you did, then President Barack Obama will order martial law this year, the United States will split into six rump-states before 2011, and Russia and China will become the backbones of a new world order.

Typical KGB Agitprop from a commie. Read Nyquist latest column. (Sorry fluff) He outlines the efforts of those defectors like Illarionov and others before him who have unsuccessfully tried to warn the west of the communist agenda.

'As if to scold the U.S. Congress itself, Illarionov noted that the Committee hearings were dedicated to “collaboration” with the secret police of Russia. According to Illarionov, “the term chosen for the agents of the U.S. administration’s policy … is ‘collaborationists.’ Collaboration between the two governments today could only be on the Russian regime’s terms and for fulfillment of the Russian government’s goals.” The United States, in effect, has chosen something worse than appeasement. It has chosen the path of outright surrender. “We know the consequences of the collaborationist policy,” warned Illarionov. “Those who retreat and surrender will not get peace, but war – war with unpredictable and nasty results.” The situation is reaching critical mass. The United States is no longer a superpower in terms of its thinking. It no longer opposes totalitarianism. A time of troubles is approaching. “When the world gets there,” said Illarionov, “we need to remember that we had a warning.”'
In commenting about this warning one very astute observer explained in Book of Mormon like fashion that is hard to argue with the following thoughts:
Perhaps this is the logical progression of all empires; first, violent struggle, then freedom, then prosperity, then indulgence and gluttony, and finally, destruction due to their sated hedonism. It makes one wonder if we're only delaying the inevitable. Maybe man is truly incapable of building a kingdom that lasts.

The heart of man tends to corruption. And that's what we see in Washington - a total disconnect as they spend OUR money. Money we work for, while they have done nothing to earn it, paid by the taxpayers to spend taxpayers money. They should be taken outside and publicly flogged. When I see the hubris and arrogance of some of these Senators and Representatives, it almost makes me physically ill. They have forgotten their role in our political system. We do not exist to fawn all over their vapid opinions.

They exist to tend to the state, and govern minimally, spending prudently and only on that which is deemed necessary. To protect the citizens who gave them the GIFT of holding office - to guard against the many enemies that envy our wealth and position. Instead, they devise schemes wherewith to fatten themselves - to deprive the hard working citizens of the republic of yet more of their money. They become thieves and crooks, criminals and liars, all the while drunk with the delusions of greatness, believing that they are doing us a favor and not the other way around. Power tends to draw such scoundrels like moths to the candle flame. It's no surprise good people eschew the business of politics; this is why I say perhaps this is the inevitable end of all republics - a seedy, corrupt, rotten core, hollow, empty and evil until the barbarians burn down the gates and bring it all to an end.
