Hi all,
I know that we should all pray about where we need to be etc. Taking that, I know-have heard a lot of people saying good things about sanpete valley area. So what do you all think.
I don't feel considering revelations from Joseph Smith, B.Young, etc that living in Peru or Maine or England would be really wise when things start blowing up. I think Missouri will be really tough. It seems that gathering to the current center place of Utah area would be most wise.
If all s$'d0hs9dtm breaks loose, I would much rather be around a bunch of Mormons then Anti-Mormons. I think with millions of Mormons around you, you have a better chance then living next to your Assembly of God neighbor in lets say Arkansas who thinks your going to hell anyway. Living outside of Utah at times in my life is a real opener to how many Anti's there are. it is like imagine Nauvoo 1842, but you decide to live in Minnisota. Strength in numbers! Or Salt Lake 1866, but you decide north Alaska lol
Any thoughts?

I don't think any place will be safe unless we are living the gospel. If we are faithful and listen to the Lord, he will protect us where ever we may live. I do believe that the Lord will inspire us where we should be as families. And I don't think it will be the same place for all of us. Just like some will be called to go and build Zion, some of us will be called to stay and strengthen those around us.

Re: Sanpete county safest place to be in next few years?
I've sometimes pondered: where do I need to be vs. where do I want to be? It's kind of like the utah ward thing. Oh I wish sometimes I could move back to a ward where I can have some menial calling and actually get my HT done again. Versus where I am now which is stretching me and my family to our very limits. I can't even remember a Sunday where I haven't spent nearly the entire day in meetings. But that's the point, isn't it? Growth? When things hit the fan do I want to be safe? Or where I can be of the most service to the Lord? It's going to be hard but until the Lord calls us to safer pastures, we choose to tarry behind and do a greater work if we are allowed. I've even thought it would be great to have a remote bug-out ranch or location. But I love dearly my Ward family. The widows will not be able to easily leave at once. I can't support them alone. The other families will need to band together. I hope we get the warning to flee when the time comes, but if not, I don't plan on abandoning my family and ward family in this area until we have greater direction from the Brethren or the Spirit.

Exactly Nan!! it bothers me when ppl start preaching where the safest place to be when all is going to H.e. double hockey sticks is. I believe that as long as you are living the gospel and it's principles and prepared to act on either personal revelation concerning your family's safety or The prophet calling you to be somewhere. You could be in the middle of the hot zone and the Angel of death could pass right in front of your windows and not touch you.Nan wrote:I don't think any place will be safe unless we are living the gospel.
