I envy these people, I hope our future heads in this direction. Great direction from the Lord , These people will help us build the New Jeruselem, And this is how I believe they will do it.
Great example of self reliance. As we become poorer I believe this will be the Direction that we will go to build Zion. Great stuff.

That was a nice video, will. Thanks for sharing it with us. I can see that our communities will eventually need these same skills. Maybe one of the reasons for learning to garden (besides providing food for our families) might be to teach our neighbors how.

Thank you for the video. We raised guinea pigs when I was kid. The sound brought back memories (though all us kids would have been horrified at the thought of eating them).
I'm curious what kind of local challenges this projects face as they try to incorporate self-sufficiency. I know Cuba was kind of forced into self-sufficiency after the fall of the USSR based on what historians could figure out from the way things used to be done. Mexico though has, as a part of NAFTA, gotten rid of the traditional small farms so that big agribusiness can take over. It's been a long time since I looked... maybe things have changed (or maybe I didn't understand it in the first place).
kathyn, I hadn't thought of gardening that way until now.
