Most of these boundary changes have little to do with local realities - transport routes, natural geography, distribution of membership - and are essentially bureaucratic. It is arguable how spiritual they are when such a boundary change destroys units. Top down government fails at grassroots level.

We had our ward divided back in the nineties according to very badly thought out criteria. All that ended happening is that we reverted to our old ward boundaries but many of those who had been in the secondary ward vanished and haven't come back since.

Do we need the Spirit?

it's really THE ONLY THING WE NEED.

as I've said many times -

there's really only one survival plan - Jesus Christ - having His spirit with you - being led bt Him

He is there for us - Christ is at the door, but we have to
open the door and fully accept him and do the things he did.
He will be in us, and work through us, to do his work.

I've heard this before and it's by people who haven't experienced it. Elevation feels different. There is a lot more to it than just warm fuzzies.

So true. I lived in a ward that was divided between the rich and the poor (very little in the middle, if at all). The sp divided the ward so that the poor had to go to a different town. I had no vehicle and I could tell, when I talked to the person assigned to give me rides, that she didn't want to do it, so I canceled, and she sounded so relieved. I walked to a building a 20-minute walk away (my ward, before the boundary change, was a 35 min walk away) every Sunday instead of the roughly 1 to 1 1/4 hour walk the other place would be.

Interestingly enough, the new ward was pushing temple recommends. One of the counselors came to my house to interview me. When he asked me about Church attendance, I told him where I was going and said that, since I didn't have a car, I figured that was doing all I could for myself. He said that the important thing was that I was going to Church somewhere. The counselor in the sp (that office was in the building that was a 35 min walk away) said the same thing when I told him the same thing in answer to that question.

This is the key to receiving God’s Truth, then anything is possible as per a few examples observable via: search.php?keywords=38ii
