I’ve never heard of him, but I’ve seen the internet explode with news of his death. So gradles21 posts an example of his jokes, and I think, well gradles21 seems like a cool dude based on his participation on this forum so I’ll check it out.
First of all, not funny.
Second, I knew the punchline long before he delivered it.
Third, a gay joke. From a deeply-closeted gay man (according to many comments online today). Totally not funny.

You may be missing the irony, word play, impromptu fabrication, and bad delivery that's all part of the joke which he was known for.

Funniest. Man. Ever. When I was stuck in a hospital bed after my heart attack I sat and watched Norm Macdonald videos on YouTube for four days straight. At one point the nurse ran in and thought I was headed towards another heart attack I was laughing so hard. I would have died happy.

Sorry Lizzy, his comedy style isn't for everyone, my wife doesn't think he's funny either.
