Niemand wrote: August 31st, 2021, 3:38 am The boundaries of personal freedom are sketchy, but to give you another example, I have had issues with noisy neighbours in the past who get blind drunk and hold loud parties/karaoke at all hours. I have never tried to force them to stop drinking but if they deprive me of my right to some peace at night then that is a violation. (I can tolerate it occasionally but not when I need to get up early.)

One of the few good things about this mess is that I used to get people coughing all over me on public transport, often a few feet away from my face and with no effort to cover their mouths. I really don't miss that. I remember one man had a really vile cough and I complained to him - he thought he was doing nothing wrong and then within a week or two I got the flu (almost certainly from him.)

I think that is an issue of basic hygiene. Covid regs have improved that in some cases, it's just the rest I can't stand.
You have no idea what you are saying.

You sound like a spoiled kid.

Our ancestors brought us here successfully literally living in dirt, mud, blood, and trash. They had strong immunity against viruses and bacteria.

Maybe your tolerance to being bothered is too low

Come try and force me and you will find out how "sketchy" the boundaries of my personal freedom are. But I'm thinking your the type who goes and gets another man to take care of your issues.

How am I a "spoiled kid"? I had just finished working night shift, and was trying to get back into normal sleep patterns when my neighbours were doing loud drunken karaoke at three and four on weekday mornings. How would you cope with sleep deprivation for several nights in a row? You try three hours a night during a working week. Sleep deprivation is a method used in torture.
But I'm thinking your the type who goes and gets another man to take care of your issues.
Maybe you need to stop "thinking" and start listening to other folk before you form judgements of them. I went down there and complained to them and they kept doing it to me, and tried to pick a fight. What good was all that?

Would you like a guy coughing and spitting a couple of feet in front of your face? Maybe that's your turnon, it isn't mine. That's what tissues and manners are for.
Come try and force me and you will find out how "sketchy" the boundaries of my personal freedom are.
Nah, I think I'll pass pal. I should send those folk over to yours (if I could find them), and if you don't share a wall with another person, maybe they can get blootered and have their dance parties in your home whenever you're trying to sleep. Preferably where you can hear them screeching their way through the same Fleetwood Mac number five times in a row with the volume being turned up and down all the time. It's their personal freedom after all.

The big point you missed here is that I wasn't arguing for lockdown restrictions or even masks. If you've read anything else I've put on here, I also oppose "vaccination" restrictions. But hey, punch first, think later, eh?

"Mr." Screw your freedom " himself is suddenly worried about people's freedom."

"Marlon Brando said that acting is no more than lying for a living. Arnold is a real pro.."

"This man built his very existence on image. That's how deep he is. He sold his soul to the devil a long time ago."

"I WAS a fan of Arnold all my life, I idolised him in my youth.
But I can NEVER, EVER FORGET, OR FORGIVE when he said "SCREW YOUR FREEDOMS " last year!!
He proved that he's nothing but a shill, one of 'them ' .
It's a disgrace, seeing him sitting in his office, wearing a jacket with the stars and stripes on the sleeves, he's not even American, he's Austrian, a European!
It's sickening!"
