He's a decent governor, though everyone seems to forget that he still did mask mandates and shut downs early on. He and the people are better served with him as governor. We need stronger states.

Yes, his initial reaction in a time of crisis was to violate the natural rights of Floridians.

I appreciate what he is doing now very much. He seems to understand, much like Trump, how to play the rigged media game and win. He also has more political connections than Trump which would help him when it came time to put a cabinet together and perhaps begin making a dent in the deep state (if he so desired). But his initial reaction was a problem and shouldn't be forgotten.

Kristi Noem I believe is the only governor who chose not to violate the rights of the citizens, and she was under a lot of pressure from other (R) governors to do what they were doing, but held firm. I think she had a lot do to with Desantis' shift.

As a resident of the state of Florida, I love Governor Desantis. I appreciate everything he has done to protect us from Federal overreach and all the shenanigans that came with COVID. I would love for him to run for president, but at the same time don't want him to because I want him to continue as governor.

However, I do worry about this all being a ploy and he being controlled opposition. I really want to believe there are still good people in politics that are looking out for the people. I'm just wanting for the other shoe to drop though.

This is where I am. But there's a red flag that keeps going off that suggests that he's doing all this "bold" stuff to target the presidency, or he's being groomed by others. So it's hard for me to trust the man.

It will be interesting to see how the establishment swamp treats him when he decides to run for president. Whatever happens will speak volumes.

I feel the same way. As happy as I have been about how he has been pushing back and standing up against all the COVID and government stuff, I worry about it either being a setup or he'll sell out.
