I wonder how long they followed satan before they realized that God was not interested in talking to them? With no direction from Heaven, they decided to follow the leader of the world. They probably thought the members wouldn't notice.

It is simplest to understand that they have made a covenant with death and hell, probably due to some carrot-and-stick pressure. It is sure going to suck.

With all of this kindness, why am I falling apart and crying and wondering why we were scattered and taken from one tyrannical state only to be gathered back into the beast of tyranny under a new guise In another state.

We are still in the process of moving in to our home and I am ready to flee. But there is no where in this world to flee too.

Also,I am pretty sure the adage “kill them with kindness” may be happening here.

If you were scattered out of California, that's a good thing! My 9 years living in Utah was one trial of faith after another and that was decades ago.

Our Stake & Temple District have reinstated the 'mask' policy. I suppose our hymnals will be taken back, the Sacrament passed with 'social distancing', no hugging or handshaking allowed, Primary kids masked up and suffocating, and not being able to understand what people are saying 'behind the mask'.

This morning, my husband attended the funeral of a local crop plane flyer. Poor guy hit a high-tension power line while spraying a field. The funeral was at the local Baptist Church. There was standing room only and even those were pouring out the backdoor into the alley. I asked Chuck if everyone was wearing a mask. "No, they were not. And there had to have been several hundred people in attendance." He also told me they sang "Abide with Me" and "Amazing Grace". "Were there hymn books," I asked. "Yes, there were." After the service everyone returned to the church for a sit-down meal!

Another 'Super Spreader' event in the Dakotas, I guess. Let's keep an eye on statistics out of Linton, ND and Sturgis, SD!

Sometimes the children of this world are wiser than the children of light, as the scriptures say. I had a teacher for my coaching minor at BYU (Courtney Krishnan, who was an assistant for Frank Arnold when BYU made the Elite Eight). He said he was on a recruiting trip in Texas, and was stunned when Tre teams net at midcourt for a prayer before the game. "Aren't you worried about what might be said about that," he asked his host.

"We're Southern Baptists. We don't give a damn about the ACLU," he replied.

As an institutional church we are so concerned about criticism and what is said about us. I think this is much more of a factor in how the Church handles Covid, not pacts with Gadantons or things like that. I think it's that simple.

If you’re correct that the First Presidency is urging members to get the vaccine because they are afraid of Mormons being designated as terrorists, then they are flat-out murderers. They will risk vaccine-caused illnesses and death for the least of the Saints while they protect their posh homes, big investment accounts, and standing as global faith leaders.

Thanks for the info. That does make some sense. Although, frankly, I think this is a hill worth dying on. It's like saying, "drink poison or we'll call you terrorists and come and kill you and force you to drink the poison." I'm so sick of the excuse that we're doing this to protect the Church, protect our Temples, keep doing work for the dead, etc. We ARE the Church. We—the faithful Latter-day Saints who believe in God the Father and Christ Jesus. Not some corporation based in Salt Lake City. Who will fill those Temples if all the Saints are dead??? Who will be doing proxy work for the dead if all the faithful Saints are dead???!!! There has to come a point where we stand up to tyrannical government and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

I seem to recall Brother Joseph getting a tooth chipped, as he resisted a violent mob attempting to force poison down his throat. I seem to remember him kicking back. I've read too much of The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and Leaves From A Russian Diary by Pitirim Sorokin to go quietly into the night.

Christianity is not about revolution, but it is about exposing.

When as a Christian you do not comply with their edicts you present a choice to those in power; do they respond in a Christian manner or not?

And if they do not; we have assurances that our blood will rise up one day as a testimony against their wickedness. That they may face their awful state, be called before God and then be given the opportunity to repent of their evil deeds.
