Just because you misunderstand a simple argument doesn't mean I moved the goalposts. My positions was always the same: saying something doesn't become political just because the government says it too. The government doesn't define our lives.Rick Grimes wrote: ↑August 12th, 2021, 7:15 pmYou do indeed change definitions, play dumb, move goalposts, stretch reason beyond its limits, etc... you have lost credibility to your inane arguments.franklinbluth wrote: ↑August 12th, 2021, 6:58 pmI mean, unless you have a longer version of the press release then me that names names, I think they're leaving it up to us.Gadianton Slayer wrote: ↑August 12th, 2021, 6:56 pmWise medical experts... like Dr Robert Malone?franklinbluth wrote: ↑August 12th, 2021, 6:55 pm
You think we shouldn't trust wise medical experts? Maybe listen to the dumb ones? Or wise government leaders?
Yes, this is just like the war in heaven. Saying "trust wise people" is exactly like not allowing people to sin. Totally the same.
I think you are either a paid employee for the church or worse, a delusional apologist that would defend even pedophilia if one of the leaders was caught molesting a child. I will pray for you sir. Members like you are especially dangerous because you arent loyal to God and Truth, you are loyal to men and institutions. People like yourself are truly a threat to us all.

I suspect physical checks would not be accepted - you know, germs! ALL tithes & offerings would need to be in the form of digital currency or even automatic withdrawal. Of course, everyone's earnings would need to be disclosed in order to ensure 'full tithing' status.
Speaking of our present 'awful situation' regarding wise and thoughtful recommendations of medical experts and government leaders, the 1828 Webster Dictionary defines Extortion:
EXTOR'TION, noun The act of extorting; the act or practice of wresting any thing from a person by force, duress, menaces, authority, or by any undue exercise of power; illegal exaction; illegal compulsion to pay money, or to do some other act. extortion is an offense punishable at common law.
1. Force or illegal compulsion by which any thing is taken from a person.

Re: First Presidency Urges Saints to Wear Masks and Take the Vaccine
This is one of those few items where the leadership has put a marker in the ground which will either manifest that they don't know what they are doing or where God actually is talking to them.Chip wrote: ↑August 12th, 2021, 7:18 pm My nephew declined a mission call to Ghana because he disagrees with the vaxxx mandate and figured he would just serve in the states, instead.
Tonight, he went to his dad with this church statement and said he was thinking about getting the vaxxx, after all.
P.S. From my friend...
"I think the vaccine is bad, too. It must not be at a serious enough level of wrong, or else the prophet would be taken out."
I believe they (or God) is setting them up to fail.
"We know that protection from the diseases they cause can only be achieved by immunizing a very high percentage of the population."
That's a false statement. Natural immunity/herd immunity occurs natural without immunization.
"Available vaccines have proven to be both safe and effective."
That's going to be interesting to defend in the future. A significant number of people have had adverse reactions. For those who get the vaccine and then either die or have a severe reaction who are members who did so because of this statement, there is the chance that they will look back on this statement and conclude that the current leaders didn't know what they were talking about.
"We can win this war if everyone . . . ."
That one is going to be fun to defend in the future. The vaccines are leaky vaccines, meaning there is absolutely no way to eradicate CV-19, nor any variants, nor any mutations.
So they are effectively declaring as "God's mouthpiece" that the "war" against CV-19 can be won through vaccinations . . . when the science that they claim we should follow demonstrates unequivocally that vaccinations cannot win the "war".
Either they don't know the science, are playing people, or maybe God has something in store.
It will be very obvious in a year whether these guys are pretenders or not. Currently, the latest scientific data states they can't get what they want through the actions they are advocating-so it will be interesting to see the spin on this in a year . . .or conversely maybe God somehow works a miracle.
If they are wrong; well they are going to break a lot of people's faith.

I told my brother the day after the election that they would change the Cycle Threshold down on the PCR test right around the inauguration and what did they do just a few days before the inauguration, change the Ct down from 42 to 35.tribrac wrote: ↑August 12th, 2021, 5:45 pm Franklinbluth is such a fisherman.
But how many people without a symptom got tested? Very few because tests were limited and the testing places refused to test you if you didn't have a symptom.
So how many people had another illness but were pcr diagnosed as covid positive?
Feeling tired was a symptom....
Headaches.
Body aches.
Cough.
Runny nose.
Those symptoms could have come from any numver of ailments, but Having one of those symptoms allowed you to get tested and that is where the PCR "found" trails of Covid.
It was no suprise that when they cut the cycles down the case count dropped nationwide.

On the Church of Jesus Christ Facebook page with the statement posted today, there are thousands of people reading it, and 15 comments, all positive. I sense some heavy deleting going on. Your tithing dollars at work for those employees, unless they are service missionaries.

I hear this repeated often on this forum. Isn't there a middle ground between "All is well" and "The sky is falling!!!"? Because that's where I suspect most members are. The only message I hear in conference is the brethren telling people to repent and do better. I don't hear anyone saying everything is fine.Gadianton Slayer wrote: ↑August 12th, 2021, 7:34 pm I wonder what this means

Again, that's absolutely false. I don't know how you guys can be so gullible as to read an article that tells you what you want to hear and never think to follow the thinks to see if it says anything like what they claim.Vision wrote: ↑August 12th, 2021, 7:39 pmI told my brother the day after the election that they would change the Cycle Threshold down on the PCR test right around the inauguration and what did they do just a few days before the inauguration, change the Ct down from 42 to 35.tribrac wrote: ↑August 12th, 2021, 5:45 pm Franklinbluth is such a fisherman.

Do your own research. They didn't change the CT count because there isn't a single CT count and people don't know what they're talking about. Some assays require 25, some require 35.
You're being played.

They are apostatized and fallen. Isaiah 28 is (largely) fulfilled (and evident). It's time to move on and figure out the next steps through personal revelation.
We can no longer be lazy and rely upon leaders and false belief that they will not lead us astray or do anything to damage us. No one that pushes this agenda can be considered to be on the Lord's side.

Re: First Presidency Urges Saints to Wear Masks and Take the Vaccine
The pressure is building here. Did a quick google on Wa state vaccine mandate, a dozen stories pop up of state and local officials in schools and other government posts all pushing executive orders (state, county, local, city) mandating vax right NOW before it is too late! Simultaneous push from all sides, all talking heads. This must be set up it cannot happen all in one day in different areas simultaneously. So, this is Wa, is there something coming down from Biden or above pushing this so hard? (it was pentagon 3 days ago)
BTW my daughter went to BC for a day. Her mom's sister asked her how she can go back to Texas (they live outside Plano area) where so many children have died the past week in hospitals with Covid Delta! Turns out two died (tagged covid, neither was) one was 9 y/o 200+ pounds down syndrome been in hospital for a very long time. Cannot remember the other, but is wasn't primarily covid. But, my point is they are being told via their MSM that lots of children are dying in red states due to covid and bad governors.
