I'm fascinated by how the same buzz phrases keep popping up everywhere there is any hesitancy or serious questioning of vaccine safety.

Washington State went to great lengths to educate now-fired football coach Nick Rolovich about the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to a lengthy ESPN story, Washington State took multiple steps to dissuade Rolovich of his anti-vaccination views once it learned the coach was not going to get the COVID-19 vaccine earlier in the year. The athletic department even brought in a top immunologist from the school to help explain vaccines to Rolovich. And one of the questions Rolovich asked Dr. Guy Palmer was if the founder of Microsoft was involved in the vaccine. He's not, in case you were still unsure like Rolovich.

So, for heaven's sake - do NOT be as dense as Rolovich!

Over about an hour, Rolovich drove a conversation that focused on topics that were consistent with what Palmer said has been shared by the "anti-vax crowd on social media" over the past several years.

In nearly every report I've read about this meeting, buzz phrases like 'anti-government, anti-vaxx, extreme right-wing, Bundy followers', etc are prominently used to discredit any legitimate concern or parental rights.

Students were purportedly at the meeting to express support for a vaccine mandate...

Students of the district attended the meeting and said the majority of their peers believe a vaccine mandate should be implemented.

"I haven't talked to a single student who doesn't want the mandate. It's exciting to see students want it and discouraging parents don't want it but I think what matters is student voice and students at the end of the day, so I hope the board votes yes on a mandate," one student at Lincoln High School said.

"This vaccine is safe, free and effective and getting it would protect other students," another student said.

I don't think you're going to find anything useful or relevant with a microscope. The mechanisms at play are at a much smaller level than looking at blood cells. Antibodies, RNA/DNA strands, viruses, etc. are too small to be seen with a microscope --- especially a $200 one. There are scanning electron microscopes (very expensive, used in labs), but even they can't really get "pictures" of things that small. There are indirect means of seeing molecules and atoms, but the are very fuzzy/low definition, and are indirect --- they aren't "pictures," per se, they are images based on vibrations.

My understanding was that they were going to look at the blood (blood clots, for example), not antibodies or viruses.

The macro effects of the vaxx on the blood can be viewed easily using optical microscopy. We are looking for conglomerations of red blood cells. And possibly portions of erector sets and squids.

Funny story. Or not so funny.

I had pitched this microscope deal to my friend in the stake presidency. He wasn't interested and proceeded to scold me somewhat, asking me what I expected to find and why don't I just use other people's research, as it would save time and money, and there are more important things to do, etc.

Oh dear stake presidency member, there is very little more important than knowledge. I would be interested in this experiment even if it had (for real) been proven that the shot is perfectly safe and had totally eradicated whatever it had been created to eradicate.

It rather irks me when people disparage seeking knowledge, and act like I'm an idiot for wanting to learn about something.

It might not be the most ridiculous thing that he has said during this pandemic (the one about people becoming crocodiles might be more ridiculous), but it is right up there.
