I'm glad we have the Holy Ghost and Scriptures to help us hold to the rod, because it seems the church has let go completely.

I believe that the President of the Church, his counselors, and the Council of the Twelve Apostles receive revelations of the Lord as to the conduct of the Church and its members; that the Lord actually speaks through them as the result of the revelations which He gives them; and that therefore the members would be wise, when the President of the Church speaks, to follow his advice and counsel.

A few nitpicks:

COVID-19 isn't a virus, it's a set of symptoms caused by a virus. So, how can you have a variant of a set of symptoms?

Is COVID-19 now a disease, or diseases as they state? Not a sickness?

How is this unrelenting if we've been back at church for months without any restrictions? (at least some of us)

Most ppl I talk to haven't even heard of the Delta or any other variant. How can you have a variant and *know* you have a variant if you can't even test for that variant?

Why are masks and vaccines the only things ever discussed at this point? There are myriad therapeutics and other modalities to help reduce the likelihood and severity of any viral infection. Why not encourage some other preemptive methods such as sauna, sunlight, exercise, vitamins, etc?

I suppose I will follow the wise and thoughtful recommendations of leaders when I find them to be either wise or thoughtful.

Imagine all the USA is vaccinated. And cases go to zero. If all of india and china and Brazil isnt vaccinated the disease will just mutate again. Oh wait, if we are vaccinated we will all pass it and it will continue to mutate.

But the masks will stop it? But they didn't, don't and won't.

So what does a victory look like? Endless masks and annual booster shots?

I don't live there now but I know the fear mongering there is out of control. In the Church, people are so brainwashed they will wear masks to family gatherings. They also believe the vaxx is sent from heaven. In their eyes, the Brethren will never lead the astray.

This Lambda I enjoy quite a bit...as well as any other person wishing to be free...

It is sad to see. The good thing is, there is still Home Church...and oftentimes I will be more inspired by the things we do together as a family, than hearing the local leaders...

Perhaps the brethren, like our government, are finding us Americans a little too ungovernable. It surely seems that current church leaders prefer the collectivist mindset of the foreign saints to the individualist ideology of many domestic saints.
