I think we all have an good idea what is going on here. I have been trying to research more of what was in the stimulus bill that has passed. Anyone want to elaborate on H.R.45 or other hidden things in the stimulus?

I heard they stuck it in the stimulus bill. Do in 2 years.

HR 45 is bad news. We had a discussion but it ended up in a shouting match.

License for guns. Guns with a magazine will be illegal without one. 5 year term. Your license expires, you will face some serious time in jail for just owning them.

5 years in jail for allowing your kids to hunt or shoot rifles/handguns with magazines. 5 years if they do something wrong and the police find out about it.

1 year in jail for forgetting to report your said gun stolen.

And a snippet at the end where the sitting AG can do whatever he wants in terms of the guns. Meaning he can outlaw them entirely on a whim.

Don't know if it was. It is just what I heard, so don't know for sure.

From what I can find, this is not in the stimulus bill. It has been re-introduced in Congress under the radar while the rest of the country and mainstream media are distracted by the stimulus. From what I can gather, there isn't even a co-sponsor for the bill yet and most feel that even this liberal congressional majority won't put it through because it is too much too soon and the backlash would see them out of Washington in 2010. Most aren't too worried about it but maybe that is to our detriment? I know I am worried about it.

I have a cousin who is a state trooper that said this will be difficult to enforce because none of the cops will do it.

They just have to pass it. They will send undercover ATF agents to the shooting ranges and gun clubs and then start asking people for registration of all individual firearms. After a couple agents come up missing it will be an excuse for them to push it a little more and plaster it all of over liberal news that "friendly agent killed by survivalist gun cults".

The cops would take advantage of criminals they couldn't catch for other crimes, but know they will be able to catch them with an unregistered fiream. Would you put a known child molester away if you could? Sure we all would. We have no proof, but we know he will have a gun. Wouldn't most people do this if they could? Then that will be plastered on the news "gun found on known childmolester" Over and over and over again. Then people will start to think that gun owners are child molesters. blah

You don't honestly think that special ops groups are being trained to smoke out and repel through american made trailers and houses for nothing do you?

I think you may be right, but I think that kind of system cannot last forever. I suppose it may be a good idea to bury our firearms in water/air tight containers in the mountains.

Yep, That is where me and my Homies are heading if times get bad. Got the rally point set. We know the system.
