Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf breaks church’s policy related to political donations from church leaders; Donated to Biden
How many other members of the 12 and first presidency are Biden supporters. They made their thoughts quite clear about Trump. Glad to see members of the 12 supporting BLM, illegal immigration and abortions!
Elder Uchtdorf clarifies family campaign donations during elections
Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, a senior leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, issued a clarification Friday about campaign donations made by his family that appeared this week under his name on the Federal Election Commission’s website listing contributions to national political campaigns.
The FEC report shows campaign donations from Dieter Uchtdorf of North Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joe Biden and other Democrats in late 2020 and early 2021.
“These donations were made by our family using an online account, which is shared by our family and associated with my name,” said Elder Uchtdorf, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, in a statement provided to the Deseret News. “I regret such an oversight on my part. I fully support the church’s policy related to political donations from church leaders.”
The church issued a policy in 2011 against donations by senior, full-time church leaders. It states:
“General Authorities and general officers of the church and their spouses and other ecclesiastical leaders serving full-time should not personally participate in political campaigns, including promoting candidates, fundraising, speaking in behalf of or otherwise endorsing candidates and making financial contributions,”
The FEC’s website reports 13 donations over a four-and-a-half-month span for a total of $2,286.67 to three candidates, a political action committee and the Democratic National Committee.
The listings show six contributions totaling $1,200 to or earmarked for President Joe Biden’s campaign. The first two of those donations was made on Aug. 23, 2020.

I'm speechless.
Like him or dislike him, Trump is far more a modern-day prophet than the church's 15 "prophets, seers, and revelators"
Who is reviled, loathed and attacked by the whore of Babylon non-stop? Who issues calls to repentance? Who calls out sin? Who stands with the pro-life movement?
Even if you can't stand Trump, he is by far more like Lehi and Jeremiah than any alleged prophet in the church.

Here is one comment from the article:
“Never could I imagine a church more focused on hiding the very facts that demonstrate their social, moral compass, while embracing and publicizing the facts that condemn them.
A G.A. voting for Biden is the most lovely revelation I could imagine—and they are scrambling to conceal it. Geez! ”

I know for a fact that at least one member of the First Presidency and his wife voted for Trump and believed he was trying to dismantle the Deep State.

Biden extended foreign aid funding for abortions on demand.
Biden authorized miltary spending to pay for sex change operations.
And keeps imigrant children in cages with happy pictures on the wall.
The DNC prays in the name of Brahma and closes in the name of aman and awoman.
They are moving to outlaw the terms husband and wife.

When the democrats and Biden run on a platform contrary to the doctrine AND policies of the church, no wonder they are scrambling.Reluctant Watchman wrote: ↑March 12th, 2021, 1:11 pm A G.A. voting for Biden is the most lovely revelation I could imagine—and they are scrambling to conceal it. Geez! ”
There will be more repercussions over this as Uchtdorf being demoted from the first presidency was even addressed by President Nelson when he became prophet.

That he would do that is one of the things I initially didn't like about him when I first heard and saw of him 6 years ago.
So it's no surprise to me.
But it tells you a whole lot about the truth of Uckdorf's testimony. That it's not only shallow, but on the wrong side.

Only an apology when they get caught.
Did Trump ever get a copy of his family tree, from the first presidency, while he was in office?

I guess the question should be asked: Does the donation by the "family" qualify as "him" supporting Biden and the DNC? That's the sense that I get from reading the PR article from DN.

It isn't a secret that Uchtdorf (as well as Gong) are unabashedly liberal.Sunain wrote: ↑March 12th, 2021, 12:56 pm How many other members of the 12 and first presidency are Biden supporters. No, he did not. The first sitting president since, I believe, Carter, that the First Presidency did not do this for. They gave Obama's to him in his first 6 months of his 1st term. They better hurry with Biden, as he won't be around long.FoundMyEden wrote: ↑March 12th, 2021, 1:42 pm Did Trump ever get a copy of his family tree, from the first presidency, while he was in office?

This is an interesting interview, for those of you that speak Spanish...
Some commentaries, translated back to English:
Q: Has it ever been said or experiences shared that support the idea that they (the Apostles) are like Moses of antiquity and walk and talk with God and have face to face experiences with divinity?
A: "Not as Moses, but it was always said that when President Monson was in the Holy of Holies, he could see Christ face to face. Once I asked if the Ark of the Covenant was there and he told me no. The person that told me that was one of his bodyguards.
Q: Do the GAs have other people to prepare their Conference talks?
A: The majority of them. And they have a writer to assist them and a coach to help them speak better in public to assist them. Those talks are prewritten and preapproved.
Q: Can you tell me about Bednar? He appears quite disagreeable. How is he?
A: He is an introvert and doesn't speak a lot. So when one speaks with him he is very direct and pulls no punches. But he was never disagreeable. He was very kind in conversation.
Q: But really...we have always thought that he was the most disagreeable and you are saying nothing.
A: No. Dallin is A LOT MORE disagreeable. Dieter was the best. We used to call him Silver Fox and he could conquer anybody's heart. Dieter was a cute little baby.
Q: Is there any other thing that is interesting that you would like to tell us?
A: The Church pays for the massage treatments of the GAs.
Q: Do any of them have a sense of humor or was it all religion all the time?
A: Yes! Perry and Uchtdorf always were bothering me about my listening to Eminem. But they were cool with it. Uchtdorf was the funniest one...another person confirmed that Uchtdorf was very good with him when he interacted with him in Democratic party meetings...wow! Silver Fox is a Democrat!
Q: How do they select a new Apostle?
A: That is variable; I am not 100% sure. But I know that the two most important questions in the interview are the finances and the support of your wife.
Q: Respecting the finances part, which is more important: Being rich or being out of debt?
A: The second option.
Q: Who attracted your attention, good or bad?
A: I loved Uchtdorf and Perry. They always called me to attention for listening to Eminem during work hours, but I loved them. Dallin H Oaks was really bothersome. He was always asking me to go out with his grandson.
Q: Are there internal struggles amongst the Brethren?
A: Yes, but everything is civil and it usually involves politics.
Q: What kinds of politics?
A: I don't remember well but there was a struggle over immigration. Dieter is very liberal. So interesting things were shared.
This among other things...
