House passes Equality Act

Post by Alexander »

The Democratic-led House passed a bill Thursday that would enshrine LGBTQ protections in the nation’s labor and civil rights laws, a top priority of President Joe Biden, though the legislation faces an uphill battle in the Senate.
The bill passed by a vote of 224-206 with three Republicans joining Democrats in voting yes.

Considering how the church bowed down to the government with Covid and vaccines, it's doubtful the brethren will defend against this.

They did make a statement about it last year, they basically said “we support measures to protect gays but we also need religious freedom. Fairness for all”

They don't call him flip flop for no reason.

Did I read it right that your child's doctor can discuss it with your child and if you object you have committed a crime?

The most concerning part of the legislation is the part where the RFRA will no longer be able to be used as a defense. No wonder the Church is opposed.

Except the Church's "solution" the "Fairness for All" was really no better. The only difference is that the FFA carved out an exception for religious organizations while leaving everyone else hung out to dry.

No, no, no-if you ain't going to stand tall and fight it all, then you (the Church) can burn with the rest of us and suffer the consequences of this insanity.

Bednar also came out and was telling the government to let them have religious freedom during Covid. Doesn't mean they won't bow to their new God.
