Yuma https://tempestwx.com/station/39551/

Kansas https://tempestwx.com/station/34134/
I don't know anything about Kansas weather except they get tornadoes, but that seems cold for Yuma.

EmmaLee wrote: February 15th, 2021, 3:08 pm Right now at my house, 'warmest' part of the day, and the wind chill is -22, with an actual temp of -3. Still have about 4 feet of snow on the ground, depending on the drifts (some taller, some smaller). Our cars struggle to start (and that's inside our garage), and the house creaks and pops all night long - we joke that it's freezing to death. This is actually a typical winter for Iowa - it's really cold here with the Canadian air blowing right down on us, with no mountains anywhere to be a buffer against it. The last few winters have been relatively mild, so we got kind of spoiled - but the weather we're having this winter reminds us of every winter we had just after we moved here 33 years ago. I like winter and cold weather, but this is freaky cold. One of our sister missionaries is from Alaska, and she said yesterday that it's colder here than there, lol.
I haven't lived here long enough to experience Wyoming's typical winters (this is my first winter here), plus I don't know the typical temps of northern Wyoming, but I find it quite interesting that Iowa is colder than Wyoming.

You have a lot of snow, too. :o We've gotten plenty of snow, but not 4 feet!

It's that "Dark Winter" we were warned about by the elites. ...
The one state that is threatening to secede... the one state that won’t go along with the Biden agenda... gotta punish those darned dissenters!
"
I read about those controlled blackouts in Texas. I don't think it has anything to do with Biden, though. I DO think it has everything to do with the fact that they hardly ever have real winters (especially in the southern part), and now they're having winter in spades [meaning an overwhelming amount, a lot!].

They weren't prepared for this, and their electric grid cannot handle everyone turning their heat up. Plus, they might be running space heaters in areas where there are no built-in house heaters.

My sources for some of this are relatives and friends who live in Texas (and a friend who has a friend living there).

The quotes I shared in the op indicate that. And it's the first time it made sense to me how melting ice caps (or "global warming") could make everything really cold.

I don't think global warming is the correct term. Yes, I've noticed milder winters in places where I have lived, but there are (obvious, right now) super cold temperatures, as well.

I first noticed screwed up weather nearly forty years ago, when-in February-it got so warm in Salt Lake City that people were walking around in shorts. I walked to a store and saw a lot of people out and about in summer clothing. One young man was on his porch strumming a guitar. This warm weather lasted for a few days (I don't recall how long).

Then, in June, it snowed. It didn't stick, but it was a very real snow storm.

So, the weather is hotter than normal and colder than normal, and not always doing that in the right season.

I think it's a combination of the earth going through her natural cycles and the wickedness of humans causing nature to rebel - but not greenhouse gasses. I think that the more darkness reigns, the more the earth retreats back to chaos.

So, I guess we really do have "power" to destroy the earth without bombs. All we have to do is turn to darkness fully enough and we'll have crazy weather, earthquakes, floods, and fires in spades.

Yep, you have said it.

Oftentimes, the elements have been used to favor the covenant people, and go against the covenant people when they do wicked things. Once before, the Earth begged for mercy and God sent the floodwaters. Right now the Earth groans for mercy again...this time it will be fire.

I’ve heard that Texas and areas in the Plains were going to get gouged on their gas bill for February. Have you heard anything about that?

God blessed them; and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
So we should subdue the ice caps? :P Interesting thought.

As with any sin, the first step is to confess that we haven't owned up to responsibility.

We do fight forest-fires, maybe too much. 🔥

OTEC can neutralize hurricanes, typhoons, or whatever you want to call them.

OTEC again can remediate droughts.

after all we can do, then we can count on God's grace, but not until. :x

Maybe the silence is ending....

7
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

8
And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Totally.

So, I wonder, when they were touting "global warming" because of melting ice caps, did it occur to them that it would actually be global freezing?

Nobody really knows, but very few seem to spout Genesis 1:28 command to "subdue it".
