Calling our missionaries home

I'm not sure if this question has been raised before but it occurred to me today while reading various other posts and so I'm throwing it out there to see what you all think.
Is it possible that the elders from the US and other dollar dependent nations could be called home because of the economic collapse of our nation? What if the changing value of the dollar makes funding a mission something only the extremely wealthy can afford?
I vaguely remember a talk where the speaker said that our children would still grow up and marry, raise children etc... He may have said 'and go on missions' but I don't remember and haven't been able to pull it up on lds.org Anyone else remember that from a recent GC?
