Elder Bednar came to our stake conference a few years ago and before the meeting started, the stake leader conducting said something like, "Brothers and Sisters, we ask that you reverently sit quietly and prepare for the presence of Elder Bednar." Without any commotion, after a few minutes, he was suddenly visible on the stand. I wasn't paying enough attention to how he got there. He told us a story, a cliffhanger, about having the faith NOT to be healed.

Not really, imo. Information is stand-alone. To make any reasonable assessment about it, you would have to dip into and assess the reasons why the author made these claims.

But what if what he is saying is true, and the next day or two reveals activities in line with his scenario. Dr. Steve Pieczenik certainly thinks something like this will take place in the next 6-7 days.

We're in the midst of dramatic events, and I think our situation is dire enough to warrant something like the author of this piece proposes. That being the case, I'm certainly susceptible to wanting to believe him, to be suckered in by his predictions. Happily, in this case, we won't have to wait long to find out if he's got it even a little bit right.

That isn’t how he is saying it. He said not only the Next 4 years, but the next 8 years. Pretty clear.

Can you provide a point in the video where he says it? I've listened to the interview but don't care to wade through it to see his exact words.

And at that point, with a guy who is already way out in the weeds, it loses even any possibility of credibility because once it goes beyond a term limit of two terms, it just as well be the next 20 years because there is no apparent connection to any reasonably plausible reality.

Having said that, in drilling down even deeper about Steve Pieczenik, he does have better credentials than the vast majority of talking heads out there these days. And, apparently he was even a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) for a time, and as late as 2012. A person with that kind of background should have some kind of basis to know what they're talking about -- unless he's just trying to get and compete for attention -- which so many seem to be trying to do these days. And his theory about the sting operation involving watermarked ballots certainly seemed plausible -- if it had only been true, and could be proven.

I'm not saying Pieczenik is or isn't a reliable source, but at least he has a substantive background to serve as some kind of legitimate basis to have an opinion -- versus a whole bunch of completely unqualified people who just seem to be pulling stuff out of thin air.
