Extremely pro-vaccine and pro-mask. The Lord has brought us scientists and methods. It’s an answer to prayers. It’s the Christlike thing to do to wear a mask and be vaccinated to protect others.

I am absolutely floored right now. I’ve been away from the forum for a while but just checked back in and this was the first thing I saw. I’ve been telling everyone I know that the brethren are going to push the vaccine as soon as it’s out. My awake family and friends have been skeptical of me saying that because it was too hard to believe. I’ll now be sending them this video. It leaves zero doubt they are on the globalist side.

I'm just gonna chalk this one up to the fact that they only receive revelation for church stuff. And that it further testifies that you cannot just trust their advice and recommendations with regard to this stuff.

If a sizable number of parents bring their missionaries home before allowing them to be vaccinated for Covid, maybe that will get their attention enough to at least investigate the other side of the story. They are obviously only hearing the BigPharma angle.

That's what's I'm thinking too. I'm guessing it's likely they only see/read mainstream lies. And apparently this isn't something that is sufficient import that the Lord needed to correct it.

Missionaries must vaccinate. That stinks, but not a surprise.

It's a little comforting that it's not going to be a policy to make all members vaccinate. He said it would be an individual decision.

But on the other hand, he says the church stance on vaccines will be "just like the masks". ... Um, they ARE forcing the masks, for temples and chapels at least.

So which is it? Is it our decision? Or will we need to present vaccination records to worship maskless in chapels and temples?

He also said it will keep spreading until we all get it (the vaccine). So it seems they're 100% on board.

Where did you go? My little brother went to Brazil and it was implied that it was mandatory. He also had to take a bunch of pills to prevent(?) malaria.

That video actually explains a whole heck of a lot. We see where the leaders get their ideas. The idea of "baseless conspiracy theories" is right in line with publications like the New York Times. This all makes perfect sense.

The whole governmental world ascribes to this kind of thinking. Higher education is an absolute prerequisite to be involved in any of this, because you have to forfeit your common sense before you can play a role.

This is The Great Divide in the world today.

Elder Uchtdorf oversees the Missionary Department. It would make sense for him to answer these things as he did.

He is correct. We live in 2021 now, not the 1800s. The things that we know now about science supercede that which we knew in the 1800s.

He did say that it would not be a policy, and the masks are not a general policy, but there are areas where masks are required and the Church stipulates obeying the local laws. If a vaccine becomes required, the Church likewise will counsel members to take the vaccine wherever it is required. This is actually the policy on missionary work: If you are called to an area where a vaccine or vaccines are required, and you refuse to take them, you will not go to that area on your mission, and will more than likely serve domestically.

In my area, masks will be required to go back to sacrament meeting at the local chapel...along with a temperature check and rubbing your shoes on a mat laced with disinfectant...because this is the local law. If you are coughing or exhibit a temperature more than 99.5F (37.5C) you will NOT be allowed inside. These are procedures that are being followed in literally EVERY business and place that has a large amount of traffic inside in the area where I reside.

Kind of surprising that we have on this board those that would replicate the sins of the Khawarij, the forerunners to the Wahhabi movement, then try to force that interpretation on the LDS Church today, but of course from a Mormon standpoint instead of an Islamic standpoint.
