Yes, the security guard shoved her toward the store entrance and also took one of two of her shopping bags and dumped the contents out on the pavement and rummaged thru them. Just happened he grabbed the wrong bag that was from a different store. There were seven people who made statements against the security guards treatment and of his very vocal statements against my wife. We also took this guy to civil court for violation of my wifes civil rights and won a judgement against him, but we will never see. The court does attempt to get his annual tax return but according to the IRS he reports no income. By the way, all items in both of my wifes shopping bags were backed up with a receipt...........

They really should know better, and I'd push it. Not for money but to drive the point home. The more heat Walmart feels over it, the more likely they are to demand better service of their employees. When I was a teenager my cousin and I were accused of shoplifting as Shopko. They took us to a back room, humiliated and yelled at us, and when they discovered we were innocent, they let us go without a word or apology. I regret not pushing the issue, but I was a stupid kid.

If I were you I would the pursue the matter even further with Walmart. so they can make an example of what happen to your wife. I had a similar thing happen to me at the local walmart. for some odd reason every time I went by myself I got stop by the same door greeter and search, and every time I had the receipt to show that I wasn't shoplifting but when my dh was with me the lady wouldn't do it. I finally got fed up, and made an official complaint against her. What broke the camels back for me was one time when I went to buy some bread and milk that we were out of and a couple of ppl where coming out at the same time as me with computers and other electronic things instead of stopping them to check their receipts she stop me, I only had a gallon of milk and two bread loafs.
