Container explosion. (Wonder what caused the fire previously)?

This is significant. Terrorist follow thru will hinge on lax shipping inspections.

Imagine several containers in six or seven US seaports exploding like this.

Imagine explosions like this near chemical plants, and petroleum refineries.

Imagine these container bombs making their way from port cities to inland cities.

Fire works...?!? I doubt it. What ever the official reported information, do not sink back into the common American lethargy of “it can’t happen here”.

Be aware and prepare for similar societal disruptions closer to November 3rd.

Six of these type explosions in the USA and you can say goodbye to all your rights. We will lose every right via martial law and proclamation.

When the general citizenry issues panicked calls for “safety”, politicians will grab and wield all the power then can.

Expect a turn for the worse.

Looks to me like a missile that ignites the mushroom cloud explosion. Watch the videos. You’ll see from the top of the frame it lights up before the explosion.

My husband’s first reaction was that it was a “bunker buster” - but I’m not so sure since it’s right on the coast.

Apparently, according to the BBC and others, the explosion was at a fireworks factory.

Yes, that’s what they’re saying. But did you see it?

Orange colored explosion cloud is indicative of Sodium Nitrate, like unto the TianJin, China blast not long ago (though that was at night). In this case the timing and placement, politically, is curious and suggests possible terrorist activity under the guise of a fireworks mishap. Seems like it could either be a tragic and poorly timed accident or a deliberate action disguised as an accident.

Yes I have seen it.
I think the fireworks factory explanation is consistent with what I saw.

At some point the Lebanese Interior Minister said that there were ammonium nitrate stored there and that caused the big explosion. So I guess the first smoke and the "firework-like" flashes were smaller bombs which were used to ignite the ammonium nitrate. Whoevere is responsible must have known that there were such amounts of ammonium nitrate and that it was there today.

Express.co.uk claims firework factory in the headline but the actual story says nothing about factory.

Sounds like sloppy journalism. It was warehouse at the port.

There were conflicting reports on what caused the explosion, which was initially blamed on a major fire at a warehouse for firecrackers near the port, according to NNA. The director of the general security directorate later said the blast was caused by confiscated "high explosive materials," but did not provide further details.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/04/middleea ... index.html
The exact cause of the explosion was not immediately clear. Mohammed Fahmi, Lebanon's interior minister, said it appeared to have been caused by ammonium nitrate that was stored in a warehouse at the port.
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/08/ ... 00078.html
Rumour and intrigue spread as fast as the shockwave, and by nightfall, Lebanon’s security chief, Gen Abbas Ibrahim, had debunked the fireworks theory and blamed an industrial accident in a warehouse depot, which he said had housed highly combustible chemicals.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/ ... ty-lebanon
Industrial accident? Yeah right, if something explodes like that in Beirut, hard to believe it is an accident.

Lebanon's Prime Minister Hassan Diab has said that those responsible for an explosion at a "dangerous" warehouse in Beirut port area that rocked the capital would pay the price.

"I promise you that this catastrophe will not pass without accountability... Those responsible will pay the price," he said in a televised speech.

"Facts about this dangerous warehouse that has been there since 2014 will be announced and I will not preempt the investigations".

Sounds like the PM is accepting the accident explanation. I think they are a bit too quick to come to that conclusion.

Not sure why they would target him but he was killed in the explosion. Just a thought.

Fire burning before the explosion...BUT one wouldn't think all of the explosives used in making fireworks would be concentrated in one container to cause such a blast...as with nearly everything on the news today...more of a story there than what's broadcast to the world...

If this wasn't accident, then the magnitude of the explosion was so big that it is hard to believe that only one man was targeted, or even a few people. Instead, this has a big impact on whole Lebanon:
In terms of what the damage done to Beirut’s port will mean for the country, it is worth remembering that Lebanon has two land borders – one is Syria, and the other is Israel, with which Lebanon is technically at war.

Lebanon also relies heavily on imports for its food supply. The economic crisis has already seen food prices rise by up to 80% in recent months.

On Twitter Tobias Schneider, a researcher at the Global Public Policy Institute in Berlin, says that Lebanon relies on imports for 90% of its wheat consumption (wheat is used to make the country’s staple flatbreads), most of which enters through a single terminal

Add in the fact that millions are out of power on the east coast due to Hurricane Isaias and it’ll have been one heck of a day.

(Jerusalem Post, July 24, 2019) Israel’s ambassador to the UN: The Port of Beirut is now the Port of Hezbolla

Lebanese U.N. Ambassador Amal Mudallali said the Lebanese saw such accusations a "direct threats on their peace and civilian infrastructure." Hezbollah is part of Lebanon's coalition government.

**She warned that these comments could be prelude to justification for an Israeli attack on the port of Beirut.**

Netanyahu tweeted this today:
“We hit a cell and now we hit the dispatchers. We will do what is necessary in order to defend ourselves. I suggest to all of them, including Hezbollah, to consider this."

Update 2:

ImageIs this site of the explosion? From this IDF tweet(https://archive.is/o7fen), IDF claimed in 2018 that it was part of a missile project.

I am looking at Netanyahu's tweet in Twitter, and to me it seems that it has nothing to do with the explosion in Beirut.

And here I said to my husband just yesterday, "There hasn't been much in the way of terrorist activity, or false flag attacks lately - thanks to the fake pandemic, no doubt."

I just mean that isn't it a part of thread of tweets that have completely different context?

Interesting. Today in President Trumps news conference from the White House he sent his condolences and said that it looked like a "terrible attack". He said, "Our prayers go out to all the victims and their families and the United States stands ready to assist Lebanon...we will be there to help. It looks like a terrible attack."
