Kathyn, I have no idea. My point is we shouldn't deal in speculation. Is B---- (can't spell it) gonna go supernova like the good Dr says, I don't know, I have no idea! What I do know is I need to look at the "types" given us by the Lord through his prophets. It's in those types where we will find the information we seek, not in someone's speculation.

My attempt with my calculations is to show what we can discover by using what the Lord has revealed to us. Lets look at those numbers, they are the correct numbers, numbers not based on the winds of what someone figures might be. Let's look at what is!

What the Lord has said, himself or through his prophets, lets keep our eyes on the ball of prophecy, the types and shadows set there by inspiration to guide us. If we are not familiar enough with the scripture to understand everything that's going to happen, then we get familiar enough. That's what I'm saying!

Mullenite, I have a couple of questions about all of those predictions:

1) I see nowhere in Revelations 8 that the 7 angels with the 7 trumpets have 3 1/2 years EACH. The sixth angel is the only one with a time fram 1 year, 1 month, 1 day, and 1 hour (wonder why not 1 minute and 1 second? ). Under those calculations, it would 2058 before the actual Second Coming occurs. Not impossible, but I'm still grappling with the 3 1/2 year for each angel.

2) The DOME comes down in 2020? Where did he pull that date from? I don't image to know the date. I do think that the Jerusalem temple is built after the cleansing period in America (WWIII). It's possible since this is a world war I can't imagine that Israel wouldn't be invovled, and I can imagine that the mosque could be a casualty of that war - especially since many prophecies seem to indicate that it will start over there with a nuclear missile being lobbed in their direction from Libya or Persia. Now whether it takes them a few years to construct a new temple is anyone's guess.

I have believed for 12 years that 2012 was a significant date (based on the fact that there are 2012 between when Alma establishes the Church in the BOM and Christ comes to America, not on the Mayan Calendar which I've just recently learned about). I don't know if that's the beginning of woes or a culmination of some of the woes (my personal opinion is that this date marks the end of the sixth seal era and beginning of the seventh seal era, meaning that it will conclude to some effect a world war that will be raging for 18 some-odd months by a worldwide earthquake). This transition will then give us the 22 years. Then the Second Coming angelic trumpets would put us at about 2034 (which would culminate 2,000 years since the death of Christ interestingly enough). I have no idea how long it takes for the angels but it you match it up with the two prophets in Jerusalem, seems like 3 1/2 years (like 3 1/2 days) which puts us roughly in the 2037 2038 region. I don't like to speculate much beyond the American cleansing period because that is what is pertinent to us right now, but it is an intersting brain teaser.

I have to say that I do agree with you. I believe it is more important to study the scriptures because over and over we see the types and shadows so we can tell pretty much where we stand by how we match up with past occurrences.

Trying to figure out dates is an interesting pursuit, but it's not the most important part of our preparedness. (I guess because of my age, I kind of wonder what the chances are that I'll be here for the 2nd Coming.) My greatest hope and faith is that I can endure whatever precedes the 2nd Coming. I've heard it said that the coming times will be a trial for the Saints, but it will be a catastrophe for the wicked. This really gives me hope.
