Cashless society

I was thinking that it may not be such a hardship to be living outside of the world's monetary system when we refuse to take the mark of the beast. I used to think it would be a really challenging time for the Saints, but now I feel that perhaps it will be easier than having to comply with regulations and have our purchases monitored etc.
If we can't buy or sell in mainstream society, then that needn't be such as bad thing. We can still barter among one another and have far more liberty than the enslaved people who accept the cashless society out of laziness or fear of man. Who wants a mortgage and endless taxes anyway?
Perhaps the biggest challenge will be to make the decision to leave the world (our electronic gadgets and home comforts) behind.
I'd rather have real liberty than a guaranteed job and home, both provided by the State.
