I don't see it. There's too many references to the different sexes in the ordinance such as brother, sister, her, husband, wife and multiply etc. Same sex marriages are contrary to natural law. That cannot be changed nor can the natural law be obeyed. Two men cannot ever be placed on an Earth and multiply. God's plan is frustrated from the get go. I'm pretty sure the brethren are aware of this, as are gay couples. Nope, gay sealings won't happen.
Yeah because the brazen serpent represented..... What again? The church leadership?ori wrote: ↑February 21st, 2020, 4:34 pmAs simple as looking at the brazen serpent. I'm sure those raised Catholic are told to "stick with the Pope" etc.Matchmaker wrote: ↑February 21st, 2020, 3:56 pm Stay with the Prophet and the majority of the Apostles, and you will have chosen wisely!
Maybe there is a more universally applicable and fool proof solution.
What you say is reasoned and logical. But I think all of the changes we have seen have been based on emotion and not reason. When applying emotional thinking to this issue, there is nothing that can't be justified.Art Vandelay wrote: ↑February 21st, 2020, 11:36 pmI don't see it. I would call this the beginning of the millennium.Benaishtart wrote: ↑February 21st, 2020, 11:09 am The church needs to split up.
The church currently has a fast moving cancer among its ranks. To prevent the cancer from killing the body the tumors have to be removed
A conservative true believing church and a liberal snowflake church.
The conservative church would get most of the land, temples, and majority of non-US members. We’d actively maintain missionary and temple work. We would actively focus on building Zion and wouldn’t care one bit what the world cared about. It’d be like 1980’s Mormonism. A lot of service would be done in local communities.
The Liberal church would be free to have female ordination and gay sealings. They'd have BYU. They’d have most of the church’s liquid assets and all the worldly and feminist and liberal members. Most members would be in developed countries. Pretty quickly they’d be very similar to the Community of Christ. They’d do whatever they want with all their telestial power.
The hard part would be the divorce. It’s divide families, communities, and wards. But after a few years it’d be better for all of us if we want to truly be one and build Zion.
Now do you believe that this could or would ever happen? I didn’t think so until a few months ago but now many others are having the same thoughts.
The church needs for people who no longer believe it is led by a living prophet, who think it's corrupt, who think it is no longer guided by the Lord, to go inactive or find a church that better suits them, and leave this one alone. Continuing revelation, priesthood authority, living prophets are what this Church was established on, if a member rejects that, they reject the church. They shouldn't be foolish in thinking the church is going to be split and they can join and use temples etc of the half they like. That's not going to happen, it doesn't work that way.Benaishtart wrote: ↑February 21st, 2020, 11:09 am The church needs to split up.

Yea, no. But. I don’t doubt you're alone in saying this. We see plenty of people who want to destroy and undermine members testimonies that this is God's true church, by asserting the our prophet and apostles are corrupt and in apostasy.
They didn’t look because Moses, who held the brazen serpent, was “just the church leadership”.Hosh4710 wrote: ↑February 21st, 2020, 11:53 pmYeah because the brazen serpent represented..... Will you still support the brethren if they reinstitute plural marriage?
