The president's defense of Stone is limited to "well, they didn't prosecute the other guy".

Not me. Whatever else they have against him, Stone had nothing to do with the theft of the DNC documents or Hillary's emails. He continues to aver that he did not have direct contact w/Assange, and if he was angling to learn more about these documents and their content a la HRC, and via a go-between, so what.

Plus the Mueller report investigation was focused on the premise that Russia hacked these documents and fed them to Assange, in addition to investigating the false premise of Trump-Russian collusion and Russian hack of election. The Russian hack of the emails was never proved, and in fact, contrary information exists indicating how Assange DID acquire the documents. The whole Russia-Trump collusion ploy was dreamed up as a fishing expedition attempt to find anything they could to pin on Trump and kick him out of his Presidency.

Did Stone misspeak about some of these issues? Possibly. But again so what. Far, far worse lies and deliberate illegal leaks were perpetrated by high level DOJ and FBI officials in perpetuating their machinations against Trump, which so far, have not been prosecuted . . . and I'm not holding my breath waiting for them. So Stone gets a 9 year prison sentence for possibly mispeaking and these clowns skip; and concerning somethiing based on a 'trumped' up faux investigation and charge in the first place? Sickening.

Pardon Stone. He certainly deserves it. And if you throw in the horrible, unnecessary raid on his home, by highly armed land and amphibious forces, which was illegally leaked to CNN, and his subsequent brutal removal from the home, he deserves the pardon even more. I'll be very disappointed if Trump doesn't pardon him.

And don't forget the prosecutors and the judge.

The jury had known Trump haters and activists. Judge Amy Berman Jackson is evil and has a track record for letting deep staters and Democrats off while throwing the book at the opposition. Stone is innocent of the crimes he is accused, so they got him on process crimes.
