Milo is incredibly educated, always has sources to cite when making claims, has an arsenal of studies to back up his controversial statements, very quick and whitty, is able to stop on a dime an answer questions when people switch topics on him or interrupt him. He has a lot of good to say, especially about the progressive movement starting in the early-mid 1900s and its entrance into academia and eventual takeover. Pretty much everything he says on every social issues is pretty solid imo. As a gay man, he is incredibly critical of the pride movement. He’s a walking contradiction .
It’s a shame that his message won’t reach most people because his language and jokes are absolutely disgusting, and I don’t blame anyone for avoiding him or his books. I chose to filter through it and found plenty of good content.
10/10, but won’t recommend without a very strong warning . VERY vulgar jokes and comments .
Edit: he’s also super pro trump and calls Trump “Daddy” , so anti-trumpers should stay away for sure
i would largely agree with this, and while I dont like everything about milo or agree with everything, I do like him and think he generally serves a good purpose where things like free speech are concerned.
although after watching this interview again im not sure this was the best choice to post here. it’s more about himself and his situation over recent years rather than a discussion about homosexuality in general, although that is touched upon. plus milo’s ego kind of comes through a bit at parts of this interview.
I'll never forget an interview I saw with Milo. He was asked whether being homosexual is a matter of nature or nurture. He said, in effect, "don't believe the hype.... it's nurture".

But you didn't say anything about NCAA charters, or even BYU. You said "Discriminating against people who are different than you is also pretty terrible..."
Bishops, mission presidents, BYU admins, GA's discriminate against people because of what they perceive are their sins. Smoke? You can't be baptized. Gay married? You can't hold a calling and may be dis-membershipped. Transsexual? You can't go to RS or PH or YM or YW meetings.
There is a big difference between what you are saying and the way people on this board and in this church act towards these our brothers and sisters. A BIG difference. The behavior I observe is simply hating on them. Sure you can have your reasons. They can be gay, black, Asian, trans....whatever. But you folks straight HATE them and discriminate against them for these things. People like JohnBob are so full of hatred that it oozes from the words they type on the internet a thousand miles away from me. It comes through with a real power. Now tell me a person like JohnBob is just following the Church standards.........
Lol hatred. You wouldn't know what hate is if is smacked you upside the head.
I hate SIN. I glory in righteousness. I glory in God, I glory that through Christ ALL mankind can change who they are and become new creatures in Christ. I hate the ideologies of those who pervert the way of the Lord, I call them to repentance. I beg them to repent and turn to God.
If that is hate-then sign me up!
Always need to get the last word in, dont you? Even though you continually make a fool of yourself over and over in front of everyone on this board. Another poster called you out in our last debate....I wonder if you even saw it. You are so obsessed with me, you probably couldnt be bothered to read what others were writing before you compulsively hit "reply" and come back at me with whatever totally illogical and insane thing your brain spits out.
All I have to say is someone with so much hatred in their heart is totally missing the mark on what the gospel even is.
Why do you care if this person responds to you before or after reading what others have posted? That was an odd statement. They say what they say without influence. I say that is pure.

Pretty bad.
I can't wait for the inquisition to start in which the LGBTQ+ crowd now uses their new-found power to kick-out those who do not believe homosexuality in any form is acceptable before God.
This professor did state that any negative reaction to homosexual PDA would be violation of item 3 if the Honor Code, and should be reported.
So the 2 gay guys get to lock lips in public, but if you tell them to get a hotel room or something negative, you could get kicked out of school. Silence is now mandated in the face of immoral behavior.
Such a glaring example of evil called good, and good called evil.
Like Robin Hood, I'm gobsmacked.
Not me. This is has been coming for several years now. 2020 is a hinge point remember.
I'm in the Church until they kick me out, but I will not sustain filth and wickedness.
About the only good thing the Church did in the new handbook is they stated that the Church has no position on why people are homosexual . . .whereas with the website they indicated it was inborn.
As soon as the ideology has taken root and homosexuality is accepted the rhetoric changes and it's no longer "born with it" it become "sexually fluid". Born with it was and is always a ruse.

And now that they can do it-they will absolutely flaunt it.
If I supported BYU or sent my kid there-I'd pull them out and stop funding immediately. If I went there I would transfer, immediately.

You reap what you sow.
This is and was the predictable outcome as soon as the Church stated one could come out homosexual openly in the Church and face no consequences as long as they proclaimed they loved Jesus and didn't "act on it". It wasn't that long ago too .. .maybe 4 years ago that this changed.
The natural outcome at this point-unless there is a massive revolt (which isn't going to happen b/c we are so steeped in sin) will be within 5 years homosexual marriages will be sanctioned in the Church-another 5 in the Temple.
2030. 200 years after the founding of the Church. That actually fits the pattern of apostasy pretty well.

This is unbelievable!
I suspect church historians of the future will point to this change as the moment the cat was let out of the bag. The point at which even the most devoted traditional members of the faith realised the game was up.

No. Sorry nothing constructive comes to mind. The thought police are taking over BYU campus. I can now be disciplined for speaking up for righteousness at a church school? I truly believed I would never see this day in my lifetime.

Normalcy bias . . . too many members will reject this. They will claim it is fake, made up, the Church really isn't teaching this now. They will be asleep until the Church finally accepts homosexual marriages. But then they will claim no, you see we have to accept it because it is needed if we don't accept it the Federal Government will destroy us.
Fearing man more than God.

Yes, but it's to protect you, it's for your own good! Because you will get out into the workforce and well say something stupid and get fired. So we have to force you to accept this NOW so that in the FUTURE you won't be fired.
What sickness and degeneracy!

I'm not surprised either, johnbob, but I still feel sick. Ill.
I've known for a long time that BYU was quickly becoming enemy territory, like Zarahemla in its times of great wickedness, but this video just hurts. I get the concern for SSA individuals who have been mistreated, and I condemn that abusive behavior, but this was more.

I wouldn't say no one listened. I think many of us on here have been alarmed for a few years now seeing what she has been talking about. The thing that shocks me is that it has been codified and homosexuals have now become a protected class at BYU. I thought this was much further away if it would ever happen at all.

The @saveBYU Twitter feed is going to be fun. Here's a recent tweet:

I called the Honor Code Office just now to ask whether this concept of dating and kissing not being unchaste applied to married students dating people they're not married to.
Two different people would not give me an answer; I asked maybe a dozen times.

Over the last ten years, I have become very concerned with liberal mentality of our apostles. I knew when we didn't leave the Boy Scouts after they announced the gay leaders that the changed had happened. With Elder Christofferson and his brother telling us that gay is normal. Giving support to the Imagine Dragons singer and his LGBTQ concert. The endgame is now here. Transgender baptisms and homosexual acceptance is one of the final sins of our church.

Homosexuality seems to be a unique sin (although lately Abortion has been catching up) in that it is the only sin that people take pride in. Pride in either participating in homosexual acts or pride in wanting to be identified as a homosexual. If you support same-sex marriage then you support what same-sex couples do in the bedroom. It may be private, but we all know what happens. The media has slowly educated us about this over the past 50 years or so. No one in a same-sex marriage is struggling with their homosexuality. They have already chosen where they stand. What they want is to be told that it's okay; okay with their fellow humans and okay with God. An openly "gay" couple sitting quietly in the Church pew is making a statement. Just like the media, they are "educating us" to think of their behaviour as normal. If we say nothing, it is giving silent consent to how they behave. We will ultimately accept practicing homosexuals because we are afraid to speak up, afraid to be embarassed or afraid that we will lose our reputations or our job. Our children will accept practicing homosexuals because they see that we have accepted such people, even while they practice or parade their sin. On a personal note: I am now retired. I have three small pensions (old age, Canada pension, provincial pension). If I live long enough, there will come a time when those pensions may be withheld from me on the basis of my "hate crime" of thinking LTBGXXX people are immoral and sinful. I certainly would not be surprised.
Or maybe they just like being gay, are happy being gay, and they don’t care what you think about that? I highly doubt other people’s sexuality is all about you accepting it. Lol
I have never met a homosexual who is truly happy.
It's a thoroughly miserable existence.
Wickedness never was happiness. In all of my interactions with homosexual people I, too, have never met a single one who was happy.
The rainbow mafia teaches them to be victims.
