The new Handbook is better

Granted I haven't read the whole thing, but I think it is better. Better guidance on disciplinary councils (now called something else), clearer policies on homosexual and transexual issues that I think are reasonable, and overall less heavy-handed. And it is very public. I think this is good.

Anyone else agree?

If the Kingdom of God really is coming to earth like a stone cut out without hands, I think that it would be too big to fit into a handbook.

I told my wife about the new improved handbook. You know, the one where nobody gets excommunicated. Sure you can have your membership withdrawn or restricted but that's not nearly as heavy-handed as in the past. Not only that but you can now officially bring a buddy (RS or EQ president) to your membership council. Amazing changes!
For the record, Mrs. AZRob was not buying what I was selling.
Those whose membership is withdrawn may no longer wear the temple garment. I wonder who exactly is going to enforce that edict?!

Seems like reasonable changes for the most part... from what I've heard anyway.
Being able to bring the RS or EQ president along seems like a step towards adding independent witnesses for the protection of all involved. A good step from an administration standpoint at least.
