great investment. i could stand to see more money being put to good use like this by the church. land, and especially land where food can be grown raised, harvested and even distributed by means of a private airstrip is no joke, especially given what the scriptures indicate regarding struggles in the last days. assets like these could prove be an invaluable resource to the saints.

I think land is a great investment. Probably better than the stock market.

The church is also selling their small farms, two years ago we bought a 55 acre small church farm. So glad there buying big, there’s an opportunity for members to buy the small ones they are selling off, but it is hard to track them down as they don’t advertise them for sale.

I'd considered it myself, but the airstrip isn't long enough.

... these assets will only be useful if they survive the coming economic meltdown, societal collapse, and natural disasters (assuming it even happens ofc).

I’d like to serve a “service mission” for the church.... eradicating the wild feral hog population on this new ranch.

I’d go at it every night for a couple years if need be.

I’d also work up some jerky and smoked bacon to help pay for the cost of bullets and flir googles.
;)

We must be the only multi-national Corporation that has its own wee Church and religion.

  That truth is funny but also sad. Few can beat that scam!

Our church uses children to get money for them, “Ka Ching”.

Image

Ideally, leaders lead by being honest with their fellowman yet...
1) They warped scripture to get more money (tithes are supposed to be based on increase not income).
2) They take from the poor by demanding based on income when the poor have no increase left.
3) They disobey the law of tithing (Deut 14:28-29 - which is not taught in curriculum about tithing) - which states that at least 1/3 of tithes are supposed to be given to the poor.
4) Finances are kept secret except Oaks admitted no tithes go to the poor.
5) They use the temple to make money - charging for worthiness. This type of thing is the only time on record when Jesus expressed anger.

While we are often pressured and shamed into giving “honest tithes,” church leaders keep money dark and secret, though Oaks did admit no tithes go to the poor. Funds intended for the poor go to the corporate empire of mormon leaders and we have no clue or say in how it’s spent. We do know the church had some elaborate malls built, and a list of greedy wordly companies using the name of Jesus Christ in vain. Meanwhile, about 1,000,000,000 of our brothers and sisters are starving. Who do TITHES belong to? God. And how do we love God? By loving the least of these.

Image

Grand ribon-cutting opening for another mall (at least 2 now) built using the name of Jesus Christ...

Image

Even if you designated fast offerings - the church leaders now say it’s their money and they can use it as they want...

This is straight from the real estate ad. "Today, the expansive property features first-class amenities, roads and infrastructure including on- site runway andhangar, tennis courts, seven large lakes, as well aspremium hunting and recreational capabilities. The vast terrain is teaming with wildlife, including waterfowl, fish, and even apair of nesting bald eagles." Thats pretty awesome. I am sure that the Savior will need that mile long runway to land on when he returns. Man I am getting sick of this non-stop garbage.

Right, because the Catholic church, many off-shoots, the GR, don't own anything. :|

I'm glad the church still buys cattle ranches and doesn't believe in the whole globalist idea that cattle stock are contributing too much to 'global climate change'.

I hope they buy some more big farm land plots too!

I am glad to see so many members with renewed hope in the future of the Church.

Let's all hope the Church does not use this land to build large housing tracts of big expensive homes that most of its members can never afford to buy or live in.

I don't think we could survive all the broken hearts.

Speaking of the ability to feed, we do need land.
My faith does not lead me to think the Lord will provide us with roast pigs, bread already buttered, etc.; he will give us the ability to raise the grain, to obtain the fruits of the earth, to make habitations, to procure a few boards to make a box, and when harvest comes, giving us the grain, it is for us to preserve it—to save the wheat until we have one, two, five, or seven years’ provisions on hand, until there is enough of the staff of life saved by the people to [provide] bread [for] themselves and those who will come here seeking for safety (DBY, 291–92).
