Oh Hooded one, the enigma by which I judge you judging others for judging will likely always be a mystery. :) Mental illness has spread abroad - and takes various forms, especially rooted in group thought be it religious or ideological.

Thank you for your time in reading my message. Some of you might be disappointed at the simpleness of my message, but I can guarantee that it is very important.

I give most of the credit to the people that were using their discernment and skepticism. Good job.
It was my hope that this would be an exercise in skepticism of people that come to you, offering you some kind of snake oil.

I introduced my persona as what I detest, to get people to think.

Now, what would have happened if I had gone on with the charade? I could have become the next Julie Rowe. I could have become the next Denver Snuffer. I could have become the next Spencer. I could have sold books under the hidden one. I could have gotten some of you to be in a cult of sorts.

Brigham Young once said something to the effect that he could show you a box within a box, and yet further boxes, until in the last box, there is a piece of wood. That my friends, he said, is the Man's Masonry. I submit to you that that is the exact same thing with the culture of the mystery and the awe of near death experienced claimants and prophets who offer you another way to Salvation made Sure, other than simple obedience to commandments, and reverence to the keys of the priesthood held by those who are set in place to lead you with the mantle, and simple endurance to the end. If you want calling and election made sure, I can guarantee you that it will get it perhaps even in this life if you pray for it. But you won't get it by following people who make big claims.

I have been gone for a while, but I am back. This is my new persona that I will be posting under on this forum. Many of you know me already, but I want a fresh start here.

Thanks for your attention to this important message.
My identity will remain hidden, but I have posted this type of thing before. But now I will ask those of you who will help me to spread my message to AVOW, and ask them to stop following snake oil salesmen. Tell them of this exercise in discernment and skepticism, and how people like Julie Rowe and Spencer have bamboozled them.

Some of you have seen the fruits now of the Daybells. And you know what they have become.

Thanks.

I have what I think is some inside information that I want to tell you all about that I am kind of afraid to, information that seems to be hidden to the public in general, information that I have sensed or come upon in a way that is really difficult to describe and articulate. I'm not sure that it would be wise to share it. Can I trust the people of this forum? Or is this another one of these places where I won't be taken seriously, unless I have had a near death experience, or dreams or visions to validate me as some kind of an authority figure or something? It is really difficult to describe to you how I know what I know. All I can really say is that I know it. This is really important information. And I'm hoping that I can trust a few select people to help me carry this burden.

Good one! You got me - though I did think you were messing with us - just from a different angle. I also hope people are more careful about deceptive attempts.

Some would say the lds corporations is bamboozling - only on a bigger scale so it seems ok because “everyone’s doing it.”

I try to be open ears to anyone with a message to declare. I try to not put God in a box. I try to always assume that everything I think I know is incomplete or incorrect.

Having said that, I feel I can judge your fruit now. I feel I can see your faulty premise now. You are judging those like Spencer and others by putting God and his processes in a box (not saying that I believe them - by I'm certainly not saying that God can't work through such a character)...

Would you have believed such characters as Lehi, Jeremiah, Samuel the Lamanite, Joseph Smith, or Jesus in their day? How can you possibly say that you wouldn't have rejected their messages out of hand? Are God's messengers confined to an "established channel"?

While I understand the importance of caution when people come to you with big claims, I also understand that if it weren't for big claims then none of us would be on this forum discussing any of this relevant to the latter-day dispensation.

Some big claims are true. Some are false. Some true big claims are discounted and discarded. Some false big claims are accepted and elevated.

Joseph Smith made a big claim. Our missionaries make big claims. The President of the Church makes big claims. Jesus Christ makes big claims.

Some amount of caution is helpful, but too much of it leads to unbalanced skepticism or cynicism. That's as unhealthy as is being gullible.

Better to teach people how to judge a claim and the consequences for accepting big claims that are either true or false.

I’m guessing either Celestial Angel or his second incarnation from England/Singapore or Michael Sherwin.

I was trying to be kind and not respond because my head was about to explode like Nancy Pelosi’s last night. People that come on with what I imagine is a dungeons and dragons persona, making claims of special knowledge, refusing to reveal all they know and by what source with ties to AVOW usually have mental problems. I didn’t want to say anything that might trigger you to commit harm on yourself or others or further mess with your mental state.

That's an interesting way to think about it. I'm sure there is some truth in that reference for all of us, to some extent. Our online persona can easily be very different from our real life character sheet.
