Very dated video now but it's probably more relevant today than it was in the 35 or so years since this was filmed. What the man says starting at 1:35 is pretty insightful.

Feminism, cultural marxism, socialism, sexual perversions are being forced on us by design to demoralize and divide us. I should be preaching to the choir but I'm not sure that I am anymore as this demoralization seeps it's way into even our own religion and doctrine.

At least since the turn of the century presidents of the Church have tried to generate optimism in the members. But it seems that those of us who are keeping a finger on the pulse of the Church, the world, our nation, and our communities are, rightfully, I believe, concerned about many things. It is becoming increasingly disconcerting to realize even in vague detail what is really going on in the United States of America and in our world at this time, especially as so much of what is happening is unpleasant, and in some cases now seems to be threatening our liberty, and even our lives We are increasingly threatened with wars and terrorism. Our money continues to lose value, or purchasing power as the Federal Reserve goes on one money creation binge after another. Much of our wealth/money taken from us in taxes is given against our druthers to others, including individuals and certain elements of our society (welfare), foreign countries, (foreign aid) and floundering corporations (corporate welfare). Personal and family privacy are increasingly invaded. The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution, so essential to the preservation of life, liberty, and control of property, is increasingly ignored and threatened with repeal. These and other unpleasantries seem to be increasing in scope and intensity.

My concerns center around this: Latter-day Saints generally have not obeyed that commandment to "awake to a sense of your awful situation because of this secret combination which shall be among you". And most have not obeyed the commandment given multiple times to learn the principles of the U.S. Constitution. That being the case, how can Latter-day Saints expect to obtain blessings predicated upon obedience to those commandments?

2019 Temple changes sealed our fate. It must happen only a matter of time. It's not about being afraid. It's about understanding the signs and symbols, it's about understanding how we have changed the very nature of what we believe reality is into something different than it is in truth.

Those who ignore the signs are going to be shocked and will be the ones who's faith is most shaken when it happens.

I know you don't, but you haven't grown up in this current environment. You grew up with the last vestiges of a Patriarchal order.

You simply can't have it both ways, ie applaud the temple changes removing the Patriarchal order and at the same time stating no woman wants to do the jobs they men do in the Church.

You have many, many women of wager most of the women in the Church under 35 who go to work and have professional careers. Societally you can't have these women be laywers doctor's leaders in the world---and applaud then for it, while at the same time stating women shouldn't hold priesthood offices.

It's a broken inconsistent framework.

Just look at the women leadership at the top. They are ALL career women.

You simply can't as a society applaud a woman for being a great leader in the workforce (which we now do) and then say to her... The religious leadership domain is only for men.

It won't work over time. I believe because time is speeding up, this will probably happen faster than most people think.

I do not believe that we have had any changes that got rid of men being the priesthood bearers and officers of the church. Which is what a patriarch is. Women not having to state they will obey their husbands is actually really good. Marriage is not about obedience. A husband is not a god or deity or even an angel. But if a husband does exactly as God asks him to then every woman capable of feeling the HG or receiving a witness or even believing in her spouse would listen.

I’m not old but yes, I am not currently being raised as a youth in the church. Been married only 13 years and my oldest is still in primary.

It’s up to us to teach the youth and be examples to them. If they are being raised to believe they can swap genders and not have respect or responsibility then we as parents and even the grandparents need to get those kids out of the world while they are impressionable by homeschooling them. If the youth are losing touch with the gospel then parents are to blame. There’s some intense forces out there and we send our kids out there ill prepared because we think kids learn through osmosis when they don’t. Because we know it or have faith or understand the HG promoting doesn’t mean our kids do to, they have to be trained and taught.

You can't change the underlying foundation of how men and women relate and expect to get the same result, unless you fundamentally believe that the history of the world having wives submit to their husbands as wrong. And that's such an incredible mis reading of history so I can say is good luck.

One day you will come to understand just how wrong you are about this.

You simply can't as a society applaud a woman for being a great leader in the workforce (which we now do) and then say to her... The religious leadership domain is only for men.

It won't work over time. I believe because time is speeding up, this will probably happen faster than most people think.

This kind of comparisons is not helpful really. A woman can be successful in areas of her life without needing to be or have a mans role. I can see you intent here and it seems like a valid point to bring up but the flip side is the old fashioned belief that a woman should be learned or leave the home or be given any type of paying job because then she might want independence or think she has abilities beyond babies and serving a husband. Can’t keep women down either.

I just don’t see how if we are raising people right that decently intelligent women couldn’t understand that God has ordained men to run the affairs of the church and be okay with it.

I actually would love to have an experiment ran where women stopped having callings at church and men ran everything and did everything. I would be curious and interested what would happen. I wouldn’t mind it, lots of women I know wouldn’t mind it either.

Maybe the women who want to be ordained are not thinking so straight or don’t understand what they are actually doing.

I fully expect very soon men and women mission length to be equalized. Everything in the Church is moving towards equalizing men and women.

You have the luxury of believing the way you do because you grew up in a patriarchal church. All your ideas are based upon that upbringing.

That is not the same environment for the youth today.
