I've heard of the ERA over the years, but this short list is eye-opening as to the effect it has had, and why it's being pushed.
As with other sins being pushed, the other side of the blade will cut deeply.
This is still being pushed, and if it passes ONE more state, could also be a/the cause of civil war.

I love the Eagle Forum and Phyllis Schlafly - well worth reading and following their work. Yes, the ERA is pure evil and must be stopped. Hopefully, the Church will continue to publicly oppose it.

Re: Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)
Can I ask a stupid question? I'm not that familiar with US justice system. The text of the ERA is:
How can this be used to support abortion?Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Utah had a pro-ERA demonstration about a month ago or so. It's still coming. Quotes like, "After all this time, and the Church hasn't changed; unbelievable!

Re: Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)
I think the first important thing to remember is that the ERA camp (you can check https://www.equalrightsamendment.org ) thinks it will. It's clear that's the main reason they are pushing it. The ERA might--it would go to the Supreme Court to be, perhaps, decided in finality. That and money/pay, and for some, power. They don't see or seem to care about the other rights 200,000,000 or so women--including them--will lose, which heavily outweigh anything they could gain.inho wrote: ↑January 3rd, 2020, 12:43 pm Can I ask a stupid question?
