Lets take it easier on those who disagree

Hey folks, Lets not get on our own kind simply because they don’t understand things as we do. Lets let them have their opinions. Agency and brotherly love necessitates we allow them their opinions.

I search and study the scripture a lot, a couple of hours each day. I have found teachings that would blow many minds away, but sharing them isn’t possible because of “tradition of the fathers teachings” that have been ingrained in the minds of church members for many years, many false concepts, that are false because of improper study and careless understanding. But it doesn’t hurt anyone in the long run to believe these false concepts, we’ll be allowed a period of time in the Spirit World where we’ll get ourselves, our knowledge straight.

We’re safe within ourselves if we know that our Father in Heaven loves us, and has an equal love for all of his children. Have you noticed that the Prophets of the Book of Mormon almost always refer to the Lamanites, “as our brethren the Lamanites?”

Have you read the accounts of wicked men who were converted, Alma the Younger, King Lamoni, his father, brother and followers who by their own admission had committed many murders! People like Zeezrom, Paul and many others. We do Temple work for people we have no idea how wicked they were in mortality. Repentance is indeed available in the Spirit World.

(Doctrine and Covenants 138:58-60.)

58 The dead who repent will be redeemed, through obedience to the ordinances of the house of God,

59 And after they have paid the penalty of their transgressions, and are washed clean, shall receive a reward according to their works, for they are heirs of salvation.

60 Thus was the vision of the redemption of the dead revealed to me, and I bear record, and I know that this record is true, through the blessing of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, even so. Amen.

Lets get out of the judging racket, and give our brethren and sisters who make mistakes a little space, when it’s time, testify to them, their gonna be alright. It might take awhile, but they’ll make it!

Neil A Maxwell, Some are so proud they never learn of obedience and spiritual submissiveness. They will have very arthritic knees on the day when every knee shall bend. There will be no gallery then to play to; all will be participants! (Ensign, May 1987, p. 70.)

President Kimball, May I repeat, the time will come when there will be a surrender of every person who has ever lived on this earth, who is now living, or who ever will live on this earth; and it will be an unforced surrender, an unconditional surrender. When will it be for you? Today? In twenty years? Two hundred years? Two thousand or a million? When? Again, to you, --- I say, it is not if you will capitulate to the great truth; it is when, for I know that you cannot indefinitely resist the power and pressure of truth. Why not now? Much time has been lost. The years ahead can be far more glorious for you than any years in the past. (Spencer W. Kimball. Sept Ensign, 1978. Messages of the First Presidency)

Being reminded once in a while doesn't hurt-----

Great point Bob. We dont want to be too hard on people who dont understand certain things. Many here have a good insight on the freedom topic because we have studied it. Many of our brethren have spiritual insights that perhaps we dont possess. WE all fall short, therefore we need to be humble in our approach to others.

Esteem thy brethren as thyself!

The Great and Abominable
Church of the Devil

I don't claim to have perfected anything including myself. I do believe that we are to embrace the sinner but not the sin. I do also feel that we can judge sin as wrong. I try to be understanding of others misunderstandings, and its good to have a reminder. Is it wrong to reject sinful behavior from those who are part of and uphold the great abominable church?

Aside from that I am unaware that I am being to hard on anyone for their ignorance or differing opinions. Where my patience needs improvement is when their is willful malicious intent to cause harm to others. Certainly I am not the only one who feels the frustration of this. It is really challenging to embrace such people.
