I agree with you in that I have faith in our General Authorities and the decisions they make with our tithing money. However, I don't have the same degree of trust in the Money Managers and Accountants of the Ensign Fund. As far as I know, they are not General Authorities of the Church. They could have made mistakes that will need to be corrected after the IRS looks at their books. I am interested in the outcome of their investigation, but in the meantime, I still love and support the General Authorities of our Church, and I still pay my tithing.evejaa wrote: ↑December 21st, 2019, 4:13 pm As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I declare I freely give my tithing to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and trust the leaders decisions in investing, giving and spending. There is no doubt in my mind of their righteous delegation of funds.
You may say this is a tax issue, I say it is a important issue that we need to show our support, post positive comments on social media about what our Church and Leaders do in the world. Find those positive articles and videos of Service and Charity and flood the internet with the Churches message of giving, till we are exonerated.
To non members you may not understand this devotion, to my LDS brothers and sisters, do not speak ill of our leaders, our church or our God. God is at the head of our church. You either believe it or you don't.

Re: Church response to news about its finances
Is it that those speaking out against the church spending money on beauty...aren't truly interested in the Celestial Kingdom?
God also loves beautiful surroundings. So does the Savior.
D&C 110:2
...under his feet was a paved work of pure gold, in color like amber.
D&C 137:4
I saw the beautiful streets of that kingdom, which had the appearance of being paved with gold.
Then read about the New Jerusalem in Rev 21:10-27
21:18
jasper and gold
21:19
sapphire, chalcedony and emerald
21:20
an array of precious gems
21:21
...and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
I joy in paying tithing and have no qualms as to where it goes. The knowledge that I pay it, gladly, to God is all that matters. And I have been blessed more that I can express.
