I lost a lot of respect for Glenn Beck because of his conduct during the 2016 election. Some of his attacks on Trump were unbelievably silly and misleading. I was also very disappointed that he endorsed Ted Cruz. Even with a credible running mate, Cruz would have been soundly beaten by Hillary. But if Cruz had won the GOP primary after choosing Carly Fiorina as his running mate, he would have lost in a historic landslide. Fiorina's record as CEO would have provided the Democrats with very dry ammo to engage in massive class-warfare demagoguery.

Tim Ballard's America as a covenant land is based on a narrow interpretation of the term "this land" in the Book of Mormon. Yes, the United States is included, but so is the rest of North and South America, as in the land the Prophet Joseph indicated Zion will fill.
And Glenn Beck lost the respect of many when he backed down from considering certain conspiracy facts (if not before then through his antics for ratings in his early days). Joel Skousen commented on this at least by 2010.

Agreed. I first lost my respect for Glenn Beck after his denigration of 9/11 truth seekers, etc., even calling them terrorists. Has he changed? Where's the real proof.Mike Griffith wrote: ↑January 19th, 2020, 6:43 pm I lost a lot of respect for Glenn Beck because of his conduct during the 2016 election.
